Dark Hair for Asian Archetype Sims

This is a workaround for players that have City Living and Snowy Escape and have grown tired of the platinum-blonde haired Asian sims populating the worlds.

Sims generated by the game that use the Asian Archetype will now spawn with black hair.

Info Update 26.10.2024:
Mods compatible with 1.110.265.1030 (Life and Death patch). No changes necessary.

Unfortunately there is another issue with the game where it would generate Japanese-named families with one Asian child and a random-looking parent, sometimes a sibling. These other sims are are not created with the Asian Archetype and can have a random hair color. That's why you might still see sims with Japanese names that have unusual hair colors.

This only affects newly spawned sims of course. Old sims remain as they were.
I only made one package for SE+CL.

Under the hood:

A majority of hairs in the game have a blonde swatch that is marked as allowed for Asian archetypes. When the game generates a townie using an archetype it looks at all allowed hairs & swatches. Because Asian-archetypes have around 4-5 swatches per hair and one of them is blonde, it comes down to a chance of 1 in 4 Asian sims having blonde hair.

I couldn't find a way to easily blacklist the blonde hair for Asian Archetypes unfortunately. I also couldn't find a way to use a range of dark hair colors without modifying a lot of files (and that could lead to conflicts with other mods). So I opted to set a fixed hair-color for the archetype.

If the shade of black that I piked is not to your liking please feel free to modify the package and use a different color. You could easily make them ALL platinum haired if you wanted.
