For Rent, Horse Ranch, Basement Treasures, and Industrial Loft required!

Hi all! Real life got kinda hectic for a while but it's good to be back to building stuff.

In another example of midwestern US style architecture, we have a VERY dingey duplex, inspired by the duplex that my mum's friend used to live in back in the late '90s. It was full of rising damp and water damage and cobwebs and I HATED spending any time in there! So, naturally, I built it in The Sims.

It has 2 super-small rental units, Apt. 2 being a 180-degree rotation of Apt. 1. I tried to stay as consistent as possible with real space, putting in a fire-barrier between the two units and interlocking the closet with the basement staircase. Where this place REALLY shines is how much dinge the Basement Treasures Kit let me put in, combined with Strangerville's "Splatrug" objects. This really let me do up the "water damaged basement with rising damp" aesthetic I was looking for. The overarching theme of the piece is post-WWII industrial town; maybe the very late 1940s, before brutalism and modernism showed up.
