The Desert Nook is a small family home based in my narative world of Derna; an alien desert world struggling to recover from climate disaster and war.



The Desert Nook is set in the poorest region of Derna, Where the harsh conditions have forced its impoverished inhabitants underground to escape the intense heat and constant sandstorms.

Built post war, this home doesn't bare the scars of war, but is instead built from the rubble and wreckage of what came before.



The first level below ground is laid out into an open plan living/dining space and a separate workshop space. The shaded light and air shaft allows for ventilation and cooling and access to the lower level.



At the lowest level the home has three bedrooms and a bathroom as well as a fountain and courtyard space. Natural light is at a premium and the 3rd bedroom's only source is through a window into the almost dried out well shaft.

::Creators Note::
I know that this lot is pack heavy. However, the only essential packs for this lot are Island Living (the roof) Jungle Adventure (Windows) Journey to Batuu (for obvious reasons). It will still "work" without these packs. you might just have to get creative to achieve the same look.

As is fairly obvious this lot is heavily inspired by the design of Luke's home in the first Star Wars.
