Clean/Fixed Maxis Neighborhoods Installer

If you've been in the sims 2 community for more than 5 minutes, you've almost certainly heard of the meetme2theriver clean templates and ones like it. They're nice to have, preventing any chance of corruption along with other fixes, but installing them is kinda a hassle. You have to track down the download pages, get them all installed, and spend 5 to 10 minutes putting the folders in the right places. Wouldn't it nice if there was some way to automate it?
Well, that's exactly what this it. This installer deletes all the Maxis and replaces them with clean/fixed versions made by the community. No nonsense. No hassle. Just do it all at once with this installer.

Install Instructions
1. Installing the right version
There are 3 versions of the installer. This is due to different releases of sims 2 having different names for the pack folders. You'll need to choose the right version for your copy of sims 2:

- Legacy
The official Legacy Collection on Steam and EA App

- Ultimate
Ultimate Collection (excluding the Mr DJ Repack). Also works with the pirated version from the sims 2 help subreddit and the Starter Pack from Osab.

-Disc
A game installed using the original installation discs. Also works with the Mr DJ Repack version of Ultimate Collection.

2. Install Location
You need to tell the installer where the root folder of your sims 2 install is. There are 2 default options for where the game is usually installed, and also a custom option where you select manually.

3. Stealth Hoods
The installer gives you 3 options for how it should handle the stealth hoods:

-Install with clean stealth hoods
replaces all stealth hoods with the clean versions from meetme2theriver.

-Install with empty Stealth hoods
Replaces the hobbies and magic stealth ones with empty versions from Jawusa, deletes the rest of the stealth hoods, and installs the stealth hood families put into sub hoods (from meetme2theriver).

-Install without stealth hoods
Leaves the Stealth Hoods completely untouched. If you've done the trick of disabling the stealth hoods by renaming the NeighborhoodTemplate folders, then use this option.

4. Post Install
Once the install finishes, there's one more step:
- Go to your Neighborhoods folder
-Take out all hoods you've been playing
-Delete the Neighborhoods folder
-Launch the game
This will make the game regenerate the Neighborhoods folder with the newly installed clean/fixed versions.

OS Compatibility
-The install uses Inno Setup, which is designed solely for windows.

-It's mostly compatible with linux. The installer runs perfectly fine under wine, but you won't be able to select the ".steam" folder with the custom install location. You may need to manually move your sims 2 install, run the installer, then move it back.

-No current plans for Super Collection support. Since it's a Windows application and 32-bit, running it on macOS is way too much hassle for me to explain.

Information to note
-You don't need to worry about neighborhood corruption caused by files merging. This installer is specially designed to delete the vanilla ones entirely and then install the clean/fixed ones.

- The installer closing mid-install will put your game in a broken state; the installer deleted the neighborhoods but didn't replace them correctly.

-If, for whatever reason, the installer fails and messes up your game, you can try running it again or get the clean/fixed neighborhoods from the source code and install them manually.

-With the stealth hood families put into sub hoods, you need to have Mootilda's Fix subhood selection so you can select them.

-The installer uses the standard clean/fixed versions with the Maxis townies and NPCs. So if you don't play with townies or play with genetic infant faces then you can't use this. :/

-If you use some of the special versions of the Maxis neighborhoods I've made, like Pleasantview with Tutorial Joe and Jane or Belladonna Cove with poorer families, then you'll need to install them manually after using this installer.

-With Legacy Collection, using the verify integrity of game files option in Steam or EA App will revert all the neighborhoods back to the vanilla ones.

-No one has bothered to clean up the vacation destinations, so the ones included here are just the vanilla ones that I ran through HoodChecker and Lot Compressor.
