Looking for some different scenery this semester? Look no further than Desierto Tech Institute. A small campus nestled in between towering canyons in the arrid desert. Discovered in 1965, Desierto Tech Institute offers the finest of higher education.

I remember playing the Sims 2 and being obsessed with the desert campus La Fiesta Tech. I've always wanted to create my own campus in the desert for the Sims 3, so I decided to make this world. It comes with all new lots, sims, and even a custom student union. The campus is inspired by 60's/70's decor.

This world has been fully play tested. The lectures and classes should work.

INSTALLATION

This is a University replacement world, installation is not the same as a normal custom world. Please read the instructions to install the world properly.

In order for the world to act like a University you will need to replace your original Uni world with it.

To find the university world folder go to the following:
For EA App:
(installation drive)\EA Games\The Sims 3\EP9\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds


For Steam:
(installation drive)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\EP9\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds

**IMPORTANT!!!*** BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL "Sims University.world" FILE*** You cannot have two university worlds in this folder (you can put it on your desktop or anywhere but the worlds folder.) After backing up the original world, place the new downloaded "Sims University.world" into the worlds folder. It should replace the file. If you ever want to play in the original University world you can swap it back in your worlds folder.


REQUIRED CONTENT
There are required mods and store content in order for this world to work correctly.

Rabbit Hole Rugs (the world will not work without these)

Rim Rockin' Basketball Hoop

Day Star 3000 (free on the store)

Lucky Palms is required for the foilage and distant terrain to show up in the world.



Place the required mods in your mods/packages folder in your documents.
