Changelog

19 October 2026
  • A single Broadcaster has been created for all Radio Stations, as well as for all music added in Build, Buy, and Neighborhood modes, in order to help reduce loading times.
  • The Sims 1 Vacation Splash Screen music has been added for Loading Screen.
  • "Unknown" has been changed to "Maxis, Electronic Arts" in the "artist" field for Unleashed songs.
Since the Broadcaster now also adds important information and data from Radio Stations in the game, downloading the "TS1Music_BroadcasterInjector" package is now mandatory.

Mod Description

I had always been waiting for someone to add the music from the first The Sims game to The Sims 3. I didn't know much about mods until I finally decided to make one myself.

This mod adds all the music from The Sims 1 (including its expansions) to The Sims 3 in Build, Buy, Map and radio stations. Besides, each loading screen music of The Sims will play in the splash screen. This mod DOESN'T replace The Sims 3 music.

I've split the mod into several compressed files based on the game's expansions.

Package resources
  • TS1Music_Basegame.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Splash Screen, as well as the Build, Buy, and Neighborhood modes (with the exception of Latin2.mp3 and Latin4.mp3).
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Latin.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Latin Station (with the exception of Latin2.mp3 and Latin4.mp3).
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Shared.package: It includes the audio tracks Latin2.mp3 and Latin4.mp3 for neighborhood mode and latin station. This package is needed to be used with TS1Music_Basegame.package and/or TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Latin.package.
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Classica.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Classica Station.
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Country.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Country Station.
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Rock.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Rock Station, except for those already included in The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff.
  • TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Rock_NoSP08.package: It includes all the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Base Game Rock Station. Not recommended for those who already have The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff.
  • TS1Music_EP1_Livin_Large.package: It includes the soundtrack from The Sims 1 Livin' Large Splash Screen.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party.package: It includes the soundtrack from The Sims 1 House Party Splash Screen.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_BeachParty.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Beach Station (the most upbeat ones, in my opinion) and put them in the Beach Party Station.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_IslandLife.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Beach Station (the most laid-back ones) and put them in the Island Life Station.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Country.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Country Station.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Techno.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Techno Station and put them in the Electronica Station.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Disco.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Disco Station. Not recommended for those who already have The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff.
  • TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Rap.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 House Party Rap Station. Not recommended for those who already have The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff.
  • TS1Music_EP3_Hot_Date.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Hot Date Splash Screen, as well as the Neighborhood mode (Downtown).
  • TS1Music_EP3_Hot_Date_Stereo_Classica.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Hot Date Community Lot Speakers (Downtown) and put them in the Classical Station.
  • TS1Music_EP4_Vacation.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Vacation Splash Screen, as well as the Neighborhood mode (Vacation Island).
  • TS1Music_EP5_Unleashed.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Unleashed Splash Screen, as well as the Build/Buy mode (Old Town Community Lot) for the Map mode.
  • TS1Music_EP5_Unleashed_Stereo_Jazz.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Unleashed Jazz Station. Besides, it creates the Jazz custom Station.
  • TS1Music_EP6_Superstar.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Superstar Splash Screen, as well as the Build/Buy, and Neighborhood modes (Studio Town).
  • TS1Music_EP7_Makin_Magic.package: It includes the soundtracks from The Sims 1 Makin' Magic Splash Screen, as well as the Build, Buy, and Neighborhood modes (Magic Town).
  • TS1Music_BroadcasterInjector.package: It allows all the mod's music added for Buy, Build, and Map modes, as well as for Radio Stations to appear in the list under Options -> Music, within their respective categories. It also adds relevant information and data regarding the radio stations in the game.
  • MoreFavorites_Jazz.package: It adds Jazz as a new favorite for your sims if you're using "TS1Music_EP5_Unleashed_Stereo_Jazz". REQUIRES More Favorites – Add Custom Favorite Food, Music, and Colors made by Destrospean to work.

Important notes
With the exception of "TS1Music_BroadcasterInjector", which is required for all Radio Stations, as well as "TS1Music_Basegame" and "TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Latin" which require "TS1Music_Basegame_Shared" to work properly, all the packages are independent of one another, meaning you don't need to install all of them for the game to work; simply download the ones you want based on the music you wish to add to the game.

If you have The Sims 3: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, it isn't recommended that you use "TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Rock_NoSP08", "TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Disco" or "TS1Music_EP2_House_Party_Stereo_Rap" as the music included in those packages is already present in that specific stuff pack. Nothing bad will happen if you do it, other than having duplicate music, but you can't have both "TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Rock" and "TS1Music_Basegame_Stereo_Rock_NoSP08" at the same time; you have to choose just one, since they add some of the same songs to the same radio station (Rock).

"MoreFavorites_Jazz" is optional, if you've downloaded "TS1Music_EP5_Unleashed_Stereo_Jazz" and if you'd like your sims to have jazz as their favorite music, this would be the right mod for that. Just make sure to also download More Favorites – Add Custom Favorite Food, Music, and Colors so that it works correctly. If you are using "MoreFavorites_TS4_Music" by Destrospean, do NOT download this package, as my version is identical to the one included in his package; I simply separated Jazz from the favorites group he created, since he includes other music genres that I haven't, but essentially, it is the same thing. Therefore, if you have already downloaded his package, it will work just fine, and this one is unnecessary.

On another note, but no less importantly, if you have "Converted Sims 4 Radio Stations (23 Stations, 226 Songs) " by garrettgivre and use "TS1Music_EP5_Unleashed_Stereo_Jazz", there won't be any conflicts; the Jazz station he converted will merge with the one from this mod, giving you a playlist featuring songs from both The Sims 1 and The Sims 4 on the same custom radio station.
