Saltbox w/ walkout basement, fireplace, furnished, landscaped

This small saltbox features a walkout basement that lets in the sun and a fireplace. It is on a 2x2 lot and has basic furnishings and landscaping. All for only $19,855.

Thanks to plasticbox and his instructions on how to build a walkout basment.

The basement has a patio attached to give you some protection from the occasional 'autoleveling' that Sims2 sometimes does. If that happens, you should just be able to use the terraine smoothing tool to get your yard back into shape. The nice thing about having a walkout basement is that the real wall gives you much better viewing into the basement, making it more useable for sims.

The house works well for two, but has two places where the hallway is only 1-wide which may be a bottleneck for large families. If you get a large enough family for this to be a problem, the first floor bottleneck can be adjusted by putting another door out of the bathroom into the kitchen. On the second floor, I recommend widening the hallway to two deep by moving the wall of the second bedroom. In that case, to use a double bed in that bedroom, you will need to pop out the wall to the front of the house in a bay window (or garrison type floor extension).
