Late Night - Buyable Mailbox and Trash Chute

So I have this very large apartment building I had been working on prior to Late Night and was just waiting to furnish until after I got the EP. So at first it seemed as though apartments were only available with the pre-made buildings from EA. Turns out EA just didn't enable the mailbox to be viewable/usable in the catalog.




This mod makes the objects usable from the catalog. The mailbox is in Buy/Debug and Outdoor/Lawn Decorations and the Trash Chute is where other trash cans are. Both are deletable after placing.

When you place the wall mailbox the standard mailbox will be deleted so you have just one on your residential lot. You can delete the wall mallbox and the standard mailbox will return. When placing the trash chute your normal trash bin stays. You can delete with testingCheatsEnabled but it respawns when you restart the game. Both have been tested and the sims can retrieve mail and pay bills as they should with the mailbox, and the trash chute works equally well for apartment lots as well as standard residential.
  • Wall Mailbox - Buy/Debug & Outdoor/Lawn Decorations
  • Trash Chute - Kitchen/Appliances/Misc
  • Trash Chute is now deletable once placed

  • CTRL+SHIFT+C to bring up cheat box
  • testingCheatsEnabled true
  • BuyDebug on
  • restrictBuildBuyInBuildings off - Be sure to turn on when done

Compatibility
This modifies the OBJD resource for the mailbox and trash chute and will conflict with any other hack/mod/package that modifies that.
