This is a house I've been working on for the last few days. It is probably my favourite house that I've built, because of it's realistic feel; it's a house that I can imagine myself living in. Given that it's my favourite house, it's only right that I should name it after my favourite song - without further ado, may I present the Carolina Rose. ;-)




Here is the floor plan for the ground floor. As you walk in, you have the living room to your left. Next to the living room is a good sized study/hobby room. Through the archway opposite the front door, is the kitchen diner. The master bedroom & en-suite bathroom with raised bath(!) is found down the small hallway from the kitchen and the utility room is next to the en-suite. A door next to the en-suite will lead you into the double garage.


Upstairs, you have a games room to your left, with a balcony overlooking the living room, creating a nice, open living & entertainment area. Next to the games room is the main bathroom. Opposite the main bathroom, you have a unisex children's room, and next door, you have another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.


In the garden, outdoor living and entertaining has been at the forefront of designing this house. As you enter the garden from the kitchen, there is a small deck with a bench, perfect for those romantic evenings. Stairs from the deck lead down to the patio area, with a BBQ & enough seating for any guests that you might be entertaining. To the left of the patio is a good sized pool, and finally, under an ancient, wise tree, is the kids play area.
