Today, I set myself a challenge.
That challenge, was to create a fully functional, nice-looking starter house for under 16,000. A house that your newly made Sim can move straight into. After a few false starts and 2 very box-like houses scrapped, I came up with this. May I present to you, the Budget Starter.
Floor Plans
Downstairs, you have a simple yet functional layout. As you walk in, you come to a small hallway, separating the different rooms. The kitchen is directly ahead of you as you enter the house, and can be accessed either through the main door leading from the entrance hall, or through an archway in the living room. Through the door on the left is the good-sized living room, and the stairs are neatly tucked away to the far right of the entrance hallway.
Head up the stairs, and you a brought to a good-sized landing; big enough to move around freely without any pesky objects blocking your way! On the far left, you have a single size bedroom, with the possibility of squeezing a double bed in (if your Sim is the Handy type and doesn't mind a little DIY to bring the wall out into the hallway a little! ;-p). Finally, you have the bathroom, fully-fitted for all of your basic needs.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

About Me
Hi! So glad I finally joined here! I signed up because my sister is a member here, and she's always said about how good the quality is here! I'm hoping to be a much more active member of the community than her though... both on the boards and with my uploads! She basically only comes to download things nowadays... I plan on uploading a LOT!
I love creating things for the Sims 3! The things I do most are houses and sometimes sims, so those are the two things I'll be focusing on uploading here! Feel free to use my creations however you want, just don't upload them or claim them as your own. ;-)
