The architect decided to make the colony a dome rather than a series of connecting buildings which might inspire curiosity and exploration. Instead, the dome is divided into levels with common areas and family quarters occupying the third and fourth. Common areas have everything imaginable to keep the colonists from being bored and wanting to explore. Lower levels are reserved for detainees with too much curiosity. Top level is the captain's quarters. If you're interested in knowing more about life in the Fourth Colony, I recommend the book.

The dome roof is a clone of the 12th century dynasty vase, polygon count 458.

In the future, the Fourth Colony might make an interesting hotel or college dorm in Strangetown. It's strange enough for sure!
