A couple of weeks ago, I found this post by iCad and I suddenly became aware of an issue I'd never noticed before. So I decided to take up the challenge and do something about it!
What does this mod do?
Simply put: it fixes a Maxis mistake that they really didn't need to make. The dining chair consists of two subsets: frame and seating. One part of the frame is mapped to the texture of the seating, which means that most frame-seating combinations look mismatched. As you can see in the picuters above and attached, each frame has a particular seating color that 'works' together. This mod fixes the mapping of the frame so that it takes up the proper texture and you can make all seating and frame combinations without hurting your eyes. Now you can change the seating color without borking up the frame!
How does it work?
This mod is a resource override, it replaces the GMDC-file of the original Oaktowne Dining Chair. I've moved the particular faces and vertices from one subset to the other. You can just place it in your downloads folder, it will not show a custom content mark. If you want to remove it, simply delete it from your downloads-folder, the particular part of the frame is mapped to the texture again. If you already have recolors of this chair, they do not need to be fixed for this mod. This mod will conflict with any other mod that edits the GDMC-file of the Oaktowne Dining Chair, or any default replacement meshes you use for this chair.
Required EPs
None! This is a basegame chair, so you only need the basegame for this mod to work properly.

The amazing iCad for opening my eyes about this stupid Maxis failure. Thank you!
