After a few months of building and play-testing, I finally completed my newest school for the Sims! This upload has 2 versions of this school. The original version was built in Twinbrook to replace the school there, so it has the hill lot with the sports field at the top. The flat version is exactly the same except I built a sports field in the back of the school complete with football posts, soccer fields and bleachers. Both versions work beautifully and my sims have loved them!! They even stay after school to the surprise of their parents!
Mostly to play basketball or use the trampoline. The Twinbrook school doesn't have a playground, I couldn't find a decent spot for it.
The building itself is identical in both. It contains a full size gymnasium, cafeteria, computer room, drafting class, art class, office, auto shop with scrap tables, science lab, 2 bathrooms, music room, 2 regular classrooms, library, locker area and an underground rabbithole. Not a rug.
For those that actually attend the real world version of this school and recognize it, I attended it many moons ago so it's probably changed since then. And of course it's difficult to fit the real one in a game. But this is more than good enough
Of course, I did use some store items. No custom content was used.
It's Not Gross Public Shower Station Twinbrook version only
BahHaus Immaculate Window
Sizzle Baby Pro Deep Fryer
Souped Up Napkin Holder
The Sims Classic- A Beary Good Friend
Rim Rockin’ Basketball Hoop
The Sims Classic- Forever Redwood Potted Tree
In Orbit Blinds
The Twinbrook version is on a 60x64 lot (same as Twinbrook school) and costs around $288, 756
The flat version is on a 64x64 lot and costs $308,505
**UPDATE: I've altered, tested and uploaded a Twinbrook version of this school that is compatible with the 64-bit M1 Mac. It does not have the graphics issue that the original versions will produce. This graphics problem is because the new system can't render a lot with too many objects. A screenshot of this issue is included below. As such, the updated lot will run on all systems. It was tested with "enable object hiding" turned on & off and I saw no red screen during build mode or live mode. The lot is the same except for the following changes:
a) Most of the interior furnishings were removed, and the building is a "shell". I was able to leave the gym and auto shop pretty much untouched.
b) Most of the windows were removed and replaced with wall coverings that give the appearance of windows. (You will need the Late Night expansion for the walls/windows to show up in game)
c) The his/her bathroom doors were removed from the bathrooms at the playing field. The 64-bit version of the Sims 3 does not have these doors.
d) There are still 3 store items with the lot (The It's Not Gross Public Shower Station, The Rim Rockin' Basketball Hoop, and the Sims Classic A Beary Good Friend), however they are not necessary for the school to function.
>> The lot was play-tested and the students still use the school as intended. No worries
This screenshot is an example of the graphics issue I am referring to:
I've enjoyed taking this trip down memory lane and letting my sim attend school in the same halls I did. She's good at picking fights too. Do sims get suspended???
Enjoy!!
