A careful blend of living, lifestyle, privacy and pride, all found under one flat roof. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, all excellence.

DESIGN A2 (Chu, Donna — 1974) — This striking example is the result of blending harsh, angular lines with soft and approachable features. Donna Chu is the mastermind behind this home, and as we all know she rarely speaks a word to the public on much of anything. She did however in a rare appearance make one bold statement on this design in particular — “Modern living with a blend of heritage and culture.”


DESIGN A2 was unveiled during PAM 1974, the Public and Architect Meeting, which was an annual congregation of architects who proudly displayed what their idea of what the perfect modern suburb had to offer. The idea behind this design takes the careful consideration of one’s privacy from the view of the street. The home is meant to look unassuming and tucked away from the rest of life. One would quickly find themselves guessing otherwise once stepping foot within the home. The interior has blended a sense of warmth, with the usual creature comforts, and serenity as well. Chu has designed the floor plan with the intent of mixing a healthy social and active lifestyle all while maintaining a full-sized family.


DESIGN A2 boasts three very large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining room combo as well as a breathtaking family room. The patio found to the side of the residence offers a blend of perfect shade and access to the great outdoors. Stylish features are standard throughout the home, including a wood burning fireplace and whirlpool jet spa in the master bedroom. Donna Chu had proudly decorated the home herself which is displayed in a perfect blend of modern pieces with traditional Asian decadence.


DESIGN A2 is the home that would surely make your neighbourhood jealous, and simply having it within one’s block would likely mean a significant raise in their property value itself. Own this home and understand what is means to an insider of the Chu lifestyle. Remember — it isn’t a right to own a Chu home, it is a privilege one must earn.
