Beautiful Bungalow (Legacy Build)

What's one way to give the illusion of grandeur without actually being very rich? Hmm...
I'll tell you the secret: Windows! Lots of em, and big ones too! This house is wrought with large windows in every room, giving it a sense of largess with an otherwise small square footage.


What's happening Simmers! This lot was an interesting build for me. It took a while to come into fruition because I built this house while my sims were living inside of it. When I moved them in it was just an empty lot. Slowly but surely I added four walls and some light furnishing. I had to wait for my Sims to earn money to continue this build. Eventually came the final product.

The building is basically a fancy square. "Why?", you may ask. Well, I hit an inspiration stump for a little while. I tried so many different combinations of room shapes and sizes as I tried to conjure up something that looked architecturally plausible (and pleasant) but I kept coming up short. Everything I built always ended up looking cheap and thoughtless; like the creations I used to come up with in the days of Sims 2, when I had no idea what what the word architecture even meant (I was only a kid!).

So I couldn't get past a square. Then I thought to myself, "how can I make a square look nice?". That's how the big protruding windows came into play. And you know what? I'm pretty proud of the finished product. So hope you enjoy this lot more than I enjoyed building it! Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Thank you!

P.S. My sims are disgusting slobs. When I went to go save this lot to the gallery and subsequently upload it here, there were dirty dishes everywhere! I literally had to do the dishes and clean the shower before posting this.
