EA has changed how the icons are displayed in the pack filter UI. For icons to show there, please also download & install the "OnlineThumbnailCache" File. See installation instructions below.

This mod returns all of your in-game pack icons to before the UGLY 2019 rebranding. The icons are changed EVERYWHERE: buildbuy, CAS, gallery, lessons, collections etc. If you don't own a certain expansion pack, that EP's icon is also changed to a hexagon in gallery view to be more cohesive with the other EP icons (all non-EP unowned icons are untouched). All packs' icons after Island Living (aka all the post rebranding icons) were either created by myself in Photoshop/GIMP or modified by me from The Kixg's original mod. I made this mod because the previous "Classic Icons" mod I used by The Kixg has now been removed after Snowy Escape, and my personal hatred of the rebranding is just too strong to tolerate the new icons!

I will be updating this for every future pack that comes out as soon as I can. For future expansions I will make sure the EP's color suits the pack's theme and isn't too similar to previous packs.

This mod will be compatible with 99.999% of patches, so I won't be constantly writing "this mod is compatible with X patch".

This mod should be compatible with 99% of mods out there, as it only modifies the pack icons and nothing else. However it WILL conflict with any other mod that edit pack icons. However it does go well and is compatible with TwistedMexi's Clean UI mod.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ

1. Unzip and place the "OldStylePackIcons" package file into Documents/The Sims 4/Mods folder

For the icons to show in the pack filter UI:

2. Unzip the "OnlineThumbnailCache" file and place all the image files within it to Documents/The Sims 4/onlinethumbnailcache folder. Preferably delete all other files here beforehand. If it asks you if you want to replace the existing files, say yes.

3. Right click "onlinethumbnailcache" folder & click "Properties" > Click Security tab > Click Edit next to "To change permissions, click Edit" > Under "Permissions for SYSTEM", check all the deny boxes > Click Apply & OK. This step prevents the game from editing the cache icons you have just placed and will then show the custom ones in the pack filter UI.
