Update 3 - 2025\10\29
- Reworked fast eating aspect of dishes and bowls in general
- "Big Bite" feature is now fixed for dishes and bowls, due to a limitation.
- Instead, fast eating animation is configured to be played again, up to the specified number.
- Sims performing the animation again will do so without pausing or conversing with other Sims.
- By default, only food dishes eaten by hand, such as sandwiches, hamburgers and serving platters, have their fast eating animation played twice.
- This is due to them being even more limited, so they need 2 animations to be comparable to other food type.

- Fast eat and conversation enabled for snack bags and canned beverages
- Fast eat includes the "big bite" feature equivalent to 2 bites\gulps.
- Sims will chat while eating or drinking snacks and juices.
- This feature only applies to base game and Apartment Life snacks and juices.
DescriptionA mod inspired by jonasn's Eat Sandwich Faster mod, this mod allows Sims, even the neat ones, to be pushed to use the fast eat animation. The likelihood of doing so increases the hungrier a Sim is, less neat the Sim is, and if there is any other interaction queued up!
Fast eating applies to food dishes eaten by hands, such as hamburger and hot dog, as well as any other custom food based on them. This is made apparent by both the sped up animation and how Sims will take 2 bites consecutively.
Snack bags and canned beverages also have fast eating enabled, as well as the ability for Sims to chat while having them! This only covers base game and Apartment Life, and all other CC snacks and cans will have to be edited on individual basis.
Feature- Chance for fast eat animation made dependent on 3 factors
- These are: depleted Hunger bar, low neat points, and if there is any other interaction queued up.
- Fast eat animation for sandwiches and food dishes eaten by hand.
- Fast eat animation for snack bags and canned beverages.
- "Big Bite" feature for all fast eat animations; this is indicated with how more Hunger is filled on a fast eat one than a normal one.
- Eating animation loop function, by default used by sandwiches and food dishes eaten by hand
- The loop works by forcing Sims to do the fast eat animation again, up until its count is reached or the food is near depleted.
- While in the loop, Sims will not pause to talk or listen to others, nor cancel their eating.
- Conversations enabled for snacks and canned beverages from base game and Apartment Life
- Queuing up an interaction adds a flat 50% chance for fast eat to happen.
- Queuing up is meant as a way to make Sims "hurry up" with the eating.
- Queuing up provides a flat bonus - adding to percent chance already provided by Hunger or personality.
- Neat Sims allowed to do the fast eat animation, especially if they are hungry.
- Sloppy Sims are still more likely to do so, but not always.
IssuesCoding should work regardless of expansion packs, but I recommend all packs are installed before use.
Fast Eat BCONs are actually separated between the files. Their edits will not synchronize.
CC snacks and beverages use Private functions instead of Semi-Globals, so their Object Datas (OBJD) will have to be edited by changing the "Interaction Table ID" to 129 for snack bags, and 130 for canned beverages.
They should work as long as their Private functions are not too dissimilar to their base game counterparts.
Conversation while standing is very unreliable.

Conflicting Mods
jonasn's Eat Faster from a Bowl mod
The previous version of this mod worked in tandem with this jonasn's mod, as food bowls, by default, lack the "big bite" feature despite allowing the fast eat animation.
Currently, I have my own configuration of the "big bite" feature for food bowls, but I do believe jonasn's implementation is a bit better. Animation loops should work with his method, if you enable them.

Delete the following BHAVs from my primary file:
- Event - Bowl - Sitting (201B)
- Event - Bowl - Standing (201D)
jonasn's Eat Sandwich Faster mod
My implementation of fast eating sandwiches covers the "Serve Platters" food and has sped up animation that is played twice as an indicator. Fortunately, only the "big bite" feature shares the functions with his, so his method will be supported anyway if you edit mine.

Delete the following BHAVs from my primary file:
- Event - Sandwich - Sitting - Half (2054)
- Event - Sandwich - Sitting - Whole (200A)
- Event - Sandwich - Standing - Half (2055)
- Event - Sandwich - Standing - Whole (2020)
Sims99Fanatic's Stop Eating Like a Pig! mod
As discovered by RedAnnaliese, this mod will deeply conflict with Sims99Fanatic's work and can stop Sims from refilling the Hunger bars while eating.
However, you can customize this mod to defeat itself entirely by setting line 0xB to 0, and no Sims will ever fast eat again!

Nopke's Glowing Desserts Fix
Conflict introduced in the _SnackJuiceConverse file. By my personal decision, I walked back on displacing my own functions to facilitate Nopke's fix. The .zip comes with Privatized version of the fix by default. If you choose to use it, then delete Nopke's original.
If you do not use the _SnackJuiceConverse file, then you can keep Nopke's original. If you happen to have CC food that must depend on Nopke's fix or it would have the lighting glitch, give me a download link and I will make an edit myself.
Because this mod has been updated, I no longer accept that Nopke's decision is right.

Compatible Mods
Pescado's Eating Mod
This mod should be usable alongside his fixes. It makes Sims talk less while they are hungry or low on other motives, and stop eating once full if they are not lazy, amongst many other changes. His implementation of fast eat chance will be superceded by mine, however.
Though I do not use his fixes myself, there are no overlapping BHAVs, so there should not be any conflicts. Otherwise, please comment. Personally, I very much recommend this timeless fix of Old Legend Pescado, that I will not introduce a feature that makes Sims converse less, for food dishes at least!

Mod update logs can be found on the main pages for mods updated from December 2025 onwards. Otherwise, they are always in the comment sections. Bold line indicates an important fix or a big feature. Some updates may be stated to be non-essential.
I prefer to modify and expand upon other people's contents, since I'm no artist. I will ask content creators still active first, but I'd love if they actually ask me to help out. I also like mods and objects that add more to gameplay (and modify them to add even more!) since everybody else has been making fixes.
