SimWardrobe's Vocation Trainer Revamped

Background
Back before 2010, SimWardrobe made some of the most useful objects and fixes for Sims 2. One of my favorite has to be his Vocational Training Center, as it allows Sims to teach others skills and badges. Unfortunately, the original was never updated to include badges from Seasons and Free Time, and I somehow remained unaware of any other edits somewhere out there amongst Simblrs even as I was finishing up my edit.

So here is my version - capable of teaching all 11 badges and 7 skills, proper Social increase and Fun drain, Charisma actually MATTERs (take that, Maxis ), and also STR increase rationing between the teacher and students, and amongst the students.


Features
Subjects
  • All 7 skills teachable
  • All 11 badges across 3 EPs teachable
  • To be eligible for teaching, the minimum skill point is 8 and the minimum badge level is gold. (Configurable)
  • Both badge and skill gain rates are enhanced by the teacher's Logic and Charisma, in equal parts. (300% maximum for both, with all factors included)
  • Skill gain rate also depends on the serious personality.
  • Badge gain rate also depends on the associated skill.

Teacher
  • Social gain, Fun loss and Comfort loss while teaching
  • Social gain is increased the less shy and more outgoing the teacher is.
  • Fun loss is lessened the nicer the teacher is.
  • Fun loss becomes gain if the teacher is nice. (7+)
  • The teacher still gains Charisma skill while teaching.

Students
  • Social gain and Fun loss while studying, both personality independent
  • Fun loss can be mitigated by teacher's current Charisma as soon the student starts studying.
  • Fun loss can be turned into gain if the teacher has high Charisma. (7+)

What Else?
  • Direct STR gain between the teacher and students
  • Small chats between students who seat on the same table or next to each other.
  • Enthusiasm gain depending on the subject being taught
  • Less age restriction - children can be teachers and students!

The buyable objects in the set have been renamed as SimWardrobe Vocation Trainer Podium ($3,899) and SimWardrobe Vocation Trainer Textbook ($89). There is also an alternate model based on Pescado's conversion costing more ($4,599). All are found in Hobbies -> Knowledge and have fairly normal descriptions.

Most parameters are stored in BCONs and can be modified through SimPE to your likings.


Issues
Charisma factor is not dynamic as it is not automatically updated. While the teachers gain Charisma, their impact on teaching efficiency and Fun loss will remain the same as when the class started. Restarting the class helps.

Seating and dismissing individual students can turn out problematic, such as when other Sims have stolen seats reserved for the textbooks (damn simps!). In such case, even if squatters are removed, certain students will persistently fail to get to their assigned textbooks.
