Nightlife and OfB required for all lots.
No custom content except one wallpaper (by myself) in the public toilet lot.
Description:
Five small lots that I've made for Backdoor Lane -- they're useful to fill gaps since they'll fit in seamlessly (same pavement, same streetlights etc) and in other ways as well. All of them work as corner lots as well as facing the street, creating a very different impression depending on how you place them and what's on the lot next door.
1. Bus Stop
3.073§, lot size 1x1, zoned as Community. If you're daring you can use this as residential lot as well ... Poverty Challenge style, I mean. There's a bench to sleep on -- two even --, what more do you need?
2. Tiny park with monument
8.814§, lot size 1x1, zoned as Community. I think if you have a sim buy this lot and run it as a low-level business, it should be well suited for dates (that the rest of the neighbourhood doesn't need to know about). Might even be profitable.
3. Public Toilet
7.478§, lot size 1x2, zoned as Residential. Two cosy park benches and two toilets and sinks and a grill, that's more than what some of my sims have! I'm not sure how well multiple carpools work on 1x1 lots, but with schoolchildren and a maid and a gardener and multiple carpools you surely wouldn't live here, would you. This is also a useful community lot for poor neighbourhoods; I think it should be Poverty Challenge compliant.
4. Small playground
6.658§, lot size 1x2, zoned as Community
5. Tiny Diner
22.041§, lot size 2x1, zoned as Community. I've used this as a takeout -- without restaurant personnel, just for the owner to sell the food he's prepared -- but if you remove the stove+fridge and/or reorganize a bit, it should work as a mini restaurant too. Would be worth a try to rezone and run this as a home business (there's a tiny park, with benches, on the same lot).
Have fun!
Thank you:
This collection (frillen) and that one (loba), the mini lots by Andi8104 and the ones based thereupon (MaryLou) have been very useful in making the Backdoor Lane neighbourhood. Thanks for making them available.
Please don't PM me with neighbourhood terrain requests (look in the Neighbourhoods section instead), downloading issues (I can't help you -- look in Site Issues, Q-XPress forums etc), or Build Mode questions (general questions go here, lot specific questions in the d/l thread). Thanks.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
