 Say Thanks!
I was looking through the default eye replacements here on MTS2 and was hard pressed to find any that had everything I wanted default eyes to have:

- Not a lot of reflection/glare
- Bright, vivid colors that aren't too light or too dark
- Gray & Light blue that look obviously different
- No black shading at the top of the whites of the eye (when sims open their eyes wide, it looks kind of ... strange)

While all the eyes I saw were very pretty, I didn't find any that were *perfect* for what I wanted. Most were either too realistic (nothing wrong with that, it's just I don't really like uber-realism on my simmies) or too "sparkly". So I decided to make my own, and I'm sharing them with you

These were hand-drawn from scratch in photoshop - no importing of eyes from photos or modifications of other people's work. They are somewhat sharper than Maxis eyes, the textures are 1024x1024 rather than 512x512.

These are not meant to be realistic. They are sort of a cross between anime-style and maxian I suppose, but I drew them the same way I draw eyes when I do my digital illustration artwork.
The colors are bright but not neon, easy to see from a distance and easy to tell the difference between the colors.
Each of the eyes have little flecks of brightness in the iris, lending a semi-glittery effect if you look close, but not overdone.
The eyewhites are a bit brighter than Maxis eyes because ... well, I like bright whites because it seems to make the color stand out better in my opinion.

I may make more of these in the future, some fantasy colors like purple and teal and gold, but that's for another day

Many thanks to Nouk, for the sharp eye default replacement files that I used to create the default set of these.

And thanks to Ari_ in the sims 2 livejournal community who created the tutorial on how to make default replacement eyes in SimPE!
