I have become obsessed [] with Sherlock Holmes aka Sherlock Holmes as dramatised by Jeremy Brett. I'm speeding through the early works by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (pre-Reichenbach Falls incident) and can't seem to get enough! I decided to re-create his flat AND entire building using only my memory and the Internet with stills of the set used in creation of the dramatisation. I have spent many nights perfecting this complex and it's finally ready for your enjoyment!

**This is an apartment building so you WILL NEED AL**

There are a total of 7 apartment flats with Holmes, Mrs. Hudson and Dr. Watson sharing the center section as one apartment. I ran into a snag when I tried to do all three separately. I think this was due to the fact that they were not, in the games' eyes, complete apartments. See "Full Layout" below

#7 aka Residence of Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Dr. John Watson (office) and Mrs. Hudson (caretaker): Main, Second and Third Levels of Building

Level One
Mrs. Hudson's room - single bed, curtains, light, decorative items, armoire and one full bath (completly equipped)
Kitchen - snack-closet, counters, sink, range, fire protection rune, lights, curtains, large wine cabinet (made by stacking the single wine cabinet and using "move_objects on" cheat), decorative items and rubbish bucket.
Entry Hall to Apartment - coat rack, chess table, seating, an art easel, lighting and a phone.
Level Two
Sherlock Holmes room - fireplace, fire protection rune, bookshelf, dining table/chairs, lights, decorative items, seating, small table with bottles (his make-shift chemistry set) and desk. There is also a separate bedroom with a single bed, dresser, nightstand, curtains and lighting as well as a fully-equipped bathroom.
Level Three
Dr. Watson's room/office - seating, bookshelf, fireplace, fire protection rune, decorative items and lighting. There is also a separate bedroom with a single bed, armoire, nightstand, lighting and curtain(s) along with a fully-equipped bathroom.

I also created stores at each end as it was from the show itself. I couldn't verify the type of small business there, but used my own creative license to add a floral shoppe and gentleman's club. See pictures below:

Floral Shoppe:

As this is a "home business", you will need to add an open/close sign somewhere on the building. I left this off because I didn't know where anyone would want it placed.
Included:
shelving, cash register, lights, curtains, decorative items, flower-crafting station, toilet and sink. The flower-crafting station is behind a "fence" with a gate that may be locked so no patrons can cross into "Employee Only" areas. (*There is not a breakroom as there are pleanty of places for the employees to go in the rest of the building to rest.*)

Gentleman's Club:

This isn't necessarily a home business, but it could be if you wanted as it has a bar. There are two levels to this business. The main level is a bar area with toilet, sink, lights, curtains, decorative items, bar and bar seating. The second level is meant for a serious poker game and is equipped with lights, decorative items, curtains, poker table and chairs.

**NOTE** I did not add burglar alarms to any part of this building as it didn't fit the times. I also realize that the phones are more like that of the early 1900's, but I didn't have an earlier phone, so I thought the included one would work just fine.

UPDATE: January 17th, 2009: It is not possible, that I'm aware, to have a home business in an apartment. The Floral Shoppe and Gentleman's Club may still be used as the bar, card table and flower-crafting station are usable items. If you want to have a home busines, us the cheat "changeLotZoning residential", exit back to the neighborhood and go back into the home. If done properly the apartment will now be a single residence.
