Bayou Shacks to Let ($88K, $500 to $1000 per week)

These little backwoods Bayou shacks are now available and 1 bedroom and studio apartments for rent. Add a touch of Bayou country to your sims' hood. The lot costs 88671, but your sims rent it for 489 to 1038 simoleans per week.



There is a variety of common area stuff to do from playing cards and pool at the Bait Shop to fishing and growing vegetables. The lot is child and pet friendly. The only custom content is the Maxis Cornucopia, which I have not reallly counted as CC. Although the lot is largish (4 wide x3 deep) and has many trees, it does not bog down my somewhat slow machine--and hopefully won't bog yours down either.

To rent furnished, open the cheat window (crtl-C), type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true", then shift-click on the door. You may need to try more than once as the landlord must be fully on the lot for this to work.

Sigh, I had more chatter for the lot but I have retried uploading this lot many times the last few days--usually with some kind of uploader failure and sometimes not getting corrections through to the staff that, well, I am chattered out. It is a fun little lot for the starter sim.

To change something on the lot (something which does NOT affect the apartment boundaries--something such as adding a dog house or moving a table), you can open the cheat window with crtl-shift-c and type in the two commands
boolprop aptSubLotSpecificToolsDisabled false
boolprop aptbaselotSpecificToolsDisabled false
These give you access to buy and build mode. Do NOT use this to change the apartment walls--rezone the lot as residential to do those type changes--otherwise you may confuse the program about what the sublots are. Use "true" instead of "false" in the above commands to undo the cheat.
