Looking for a secluded suburban haven for your Sims? Then allow me to show you this delightful property.

Note the handmade wall coverings, doors and windows. This lovely home was built by the previous owner, Lula Mkambe. Lula, came to Sunset Valley, with her four children, when her husband, President Robert Mkambe of Simbabwea, was assassinated. She and 15 year old Robert, Jr. did all the woodwork, while 9 year old twins, Lucy and Lily did the fiber weaving. Infant Harry would serenade the working family with his melodious crooning.
Follow me along the curved entry path to the front door. Here is the open-air entry room, where your Sims can enjoy the breeze and plants in privacy. Through the arch straight ahead is the central stairway, which is also open to the air, with only a trellis covering overhead. This ensures a refreshing breeze, even on the most sweltering days.
To the left is the living room. Next to that is a hobby room, currently housing a keyboard and a drafting table. Beyond these is the first of the downstairs bathrooms.
On the right you see the dining room. Next to that is the kitchen and then the second bathroom on this level.
Let's go upstairs. Here is an airy, balconied hallway leading to the four bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. Lula's bedroom still contains Harry's crib in the nursery niche. The girl's bedrooms are at the back of the house and reflect their interests while growing up. The boy's room holds a study area. This was Harry's room when Robert, Jr. was at university. At the back you can see the balcony, with telescope and some seating to enjoy the sunshine.
Let's go back downstairs and check out the back patio. Your Sims can play chess here. The statue of President Mkambe was a gift from the Simbabwean Consulate, when the civil war ended. To the right is a small fenced garden, ready for planting. In front of this is the trellised carport. Note the extensive stone paving. Even Harry helped laying the paths, as building was not an overnight thing!
Now, follow me to the left, where you will see the crowning glory of this delightful property.

Voila - the hand dug "lazy river" swimming pool. The pool curves gracefully along the side of the lot, shaded by a magnificent banyan tree and some cinnamon trees. It is stocked with a certain denizen of Lula's native Upper Simbesi River village - the crocodile. There is a small open area at the front, where a hottub or outdoor cooking area would fit right in. Privacy is guaranteed by the azaleas along the front of the lot.
Lula's children have grown up now and moved on with their lives (Robert, Jr. is CEO of his own corporation, and currently on a trade mission to Al Simhara; Lucy, an up-and-coming architect, and Lily, a top designer for the House of Simior Fashions, both celebrated their wedding receptions on the banks of the pool; Harry has just joined the Simharmonic Orchestra as second bassist, and is touring Champs LeSims.) Lula, who took up the medical profession when she arrived here, is now set to fulfill her dream of joining a medical relief team in her hometown in Simbabwea.

A bit more effort - delete existing stairs and replace with one of these CASTable stairs.

NOTE:
Should EA ever introduce weather to the game, you WILL want to floor over the roof trellis, which is a mansard roof with the floor tiles removed and easily replaced. I would also switch the front door with the arch leading into the house, and put in doors instead of arches to the two rooms on either side, so the interior is then weather-proofed.
If you want to remove the crocodiles, they are the in-game fog emitters/fx spheres. They were placed with "testingcheatsenabled true" and "buydebug", but I believe you can see them in build mode and just delete them.
Some items were placed with "moveobjects on" and/or the use of the "alt" key.
