Simrealistic Eagle Tattoo

Do your sims need more tattoo choices? I made this as an experiment in converting tattoos from photographic sources, and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out, so maybe it will be useful for someone else, too.

This design is part converted, part hand-drawn/traced and edited by me from a chestpiece I found on tattoodonkey.com (see attached pic) but, being one of those people who gets irrationally ticked by English sneaking into their games, I altered it to include Simlish text. The left side of the banner reads 'love', and the right side reads 'hate'. And there's an eagle. ;D

The tattoo has three recolourable channels: 1) the eagle's beak, eye, tongue, legs, and upper wing detail, 2) the banner, the eagle's head and one set of feathers, and 3) the eagle's body and the other rows of feathers not changed by channel 2.


This design probably works best when kept to a naturalistic palette and - if you are using it as a chestpiece (as shown in the in-game pictures) - it helps to up the opacity a little. If you place it elsewhere, like on the arm or the back, as shown in the CAS previews, it's very flexible and will look good in pretty much any colours.

Compatibility

This is a tattoo, not a CAS accessory, so you will need to have your game patched to at least 1.12. but no expansions are required.

Skin is Strawberry by M.Calero and eyes are by escand. Swim trunks and pattern are basegame. The CAS model is another sim of mine, wearing hair from Ambitions.
