Already zoned and play tested as an apartment complex, each house has its own feel and separate back yard designed for a particular kind of renter.

House One in brick is designed for a single male romance sim. It comes with a bar, hot tub and hammock for all his seducing needs.

House Two in cool green would be suitable for two elderly sisters to sew, potter around the garden or just sit and relax out the back.

House three in brick with blue shutters would be the perfect house for a couple or single parent that enjoys gardening. It comes with a child’s bedroom and room to grow vegetables.

House four is the only house with three bedrooms and comes with basic cheaper furnishings for a family. The backyard swing is just waiting for some children to try it out.


The common area has a barbeque area and a chess table.

Private backyards
To give each house its own private backyard as well as a front gate I placed fence across the middle of each yard. If you remove this you must also remove the front gate and the piece of fence the gate is on to allow it to be a rentable housing unit. The backyard will then become a common area.

To rent a furnished house
There are three ways to keep the furnishings.

Or use a cheat.
Before you rent the apartment:

. CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
. Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
. Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent.
. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
. Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
. SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
. If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
. Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
. Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.

This makes the tile edges look much nicer on the porch roofs.

The footpath and grass is easily deletable with moveobjects on to make it look like a small no through road.
