This is a decorated neighborhood, made using a custom SC4 terrain, and some custom neighborhood objects.
There is also an undecorated version of the map available under downloads.
ATTENTION: this town has lots of zigzagging roads and roads with one space between them, I recommend using Sunnyside Small lots or Marylou’s small lots, though they are not necessary.
ATTENTION (for the undecorated map): the map is uneven in awkward locations due to how I shaped the fortifications and moat, I recommend at least having the Sims 2 Free Time installed so you have access to modification of neighborhood terrain.
Finally: I recommend using a mod like Crazyfoolgaf’s “More flexible neighbourhood camera” to get to the edges of the map, this mod and others may be found here .

{EDIT} the hood number for this neighborhood is N333, the hood number for each neighborhood you use in your game needs to be unique in order for it to work.
Installation Requirements:
To install the decorated neighborhood, The Sims 2 Nightlife and University are required for everything to show up correctly, together with the custom content that is NOT INCLUDED!

Welcome to The Brille!
The tourism office of Laeland welcomes you to one of the oldest cities in the country. The Brille, also known as “the Wench of the West “ is said to originate in the 12th century, it served as the seat of power of the island county of Vorne. All trade between north and south had to pass through waters controlled by The Brille, were the count of Vorne resided in his castle.
Immediately after the fire of 1312 The Brille would enter her own little golden age, but not under the count of Vorne. The enemy was at his doorstep, and all he could do was bow down to his superiors, and thus Vorne was annexed by the Duchy of Laeland. To gain the support of the citizenry Duke Henry started construction of the Saint Catherine Church which still stands today but remains unfinished, because shortly after construction began Henry was plunged into war by his brother in law.It took Llama del Parma three years to capture The Brille. The recapture of The Brille by Henry’s forces took place another 35 years later on April’s fool’s day and meant the end of the city’s golden age.
Nowadays children can still be heard singing the rhyme “Sur le premier Avril, Llama’ perdu sa Brille.” And bus tours regularly stop at the St. Catherine and the impressive moat. Since there is practically no trade going through the canals around The Brille anymore, the overgrown battlements have become a place of beauty and calm.
For those who are looking for a bustling city life, The Brille will not disappoint you either. From market square, to church, from city hall to the quays, there is always something happening. Be it a fisherman showing of his catch of flatfish and eel, or the cheese maker displaying his wares. Or maybe you happen to be around on April 1st, then be sure to get in on the town-wide re-enactment of a 16th century siege.

About Me
Being pretty new to creating stuff for The Sims, I'll take some time to introduce myself, properly.
So I'm Vincent, a dutch student from the lovely city of Rotterdam, I'm a student in two BA programms right now, one in literature and one in japanese.
My download policy right now is as follows:
When you upload or use my work please give credit, and only as long as it is for free.
Finally I'm working on a blog about one of my sims 2 neighborhoods. The blog, The end of an age, is named after its historical setting in times of turmoil. Of course change is also happening in the family life of those sims the blog follows. Right now Chapter 1 - The starry-eyed suitor is under way with its first part released. If you like historicized light fiction, or just plain old 'smut' in a historical setting this blog is for you, the challenges posed by the medieval setting are sure to stir up some drama - as if sims needed that anyway, so check it out!
Thanks for passing by, cya!
