Sunflower Orphanage

I decided it was time my neighbourhood got an orphanage. After all the city council has money coming out of their ears, they might as well do something good for the community with it. And so, the Sunflower Orphanage was built. The orphanage is intended to be bright and colorful, and is named after the flowers growing outside its doors. I hope your little simmies will enjoy living there.

The orphanage features 8 bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet stalls, a kitchen, a common room and a back yard with a playground. There is one bedroom with two beds for the Sims running the orphanage, one bedroom with two cribs for babies or toddlers, and 6 rooms for children or teens.

Each bedroom for children/teens has a bed, a bedside table with a lamp, a drawer, a desk and a chair, and one decorative item. I've intentionally left it somewhat bare, to give the player some room to decorate according to funding and personality of Sim living in the room. To make each room a little different I chose to give them different floors.

Because I am a goof-ball, I added some silly by making the swings and the dirt underneath vaguely resemble a cats head. Because who wouldn't want dirt shaped as a cats head in their backyard?


Included custom content (Not required)

The desk is included, but it is completely optional. If you choose not to use it, you will lose the free space next to the drawer as the desk will be replaced by the two-tile version, but that is the only effect it will have.

Helpful mods/useful objects
- I highly recommend MogHughsons mod "Put your homework away properly", to make sure kids put their homework on their personal desk. Otherwise they are likely to all pick the same spot and rage about someone else getting there first.

- In my hood I will be running the orphanage with Servos, and if anyone would like to copy that idea I also recommend Paladins servo charging station (http://simwardrobe.com/, Sims 2 -> Objects -> Robots -> Servo Charging Station)
- To place appliances at an angle in corners you need Numenors SEP mod (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=144021) NOTE! Not required for appliances in this lot to work, you only need it if you want to be able to place objects there yourself.

Lot has been play tested for several sim days. Lot testing was done on a separate copy, the uploaded lot has never been occupied.

I apologize for the screenshots not being terribly clear. It was difficult to find angles that would display things and not just look messy. I'm sorry that the lot requires all EPs/SPs, I haven't gotten around to getting AGS to work. If anyone with mac really wants to have it, send me a PM and I'll see if I can't make you one.
