Once an urban area starts really getting packed with skyscrapers, just including ONE penthouse in each building won't keep up with the demand that the rich and famous will place on the real estate market! Business tycoons and titans of industry want to be able to look down on the less fortunate with haughty disdain, music and film stars want an escape from the constant attention of their fans and followers, and Sims who just caught a lucky break and came into a fortune want to have whatever other rich people have! Thanks to this attitude, luxury buildings like The Tower find themselves with no shortage of tenants, Sims willing to pay top dollar for sweeping city views and the elitism and feeling of superiority that comes with being able to claim such a prestigious address.
I managed to see the film "Tower Heist" for the first time during the same week in which I purchased my final Stuff Pack, Glamour Life, so instead of taking the film's message that "extravagance at the expense of others is wrong and will get you in trouble," it seemed only logical to roll both of those facts up into one ridiculously opulently extravagantly over-the-top construction and fill it with the richest Sims in the game! The exterior of this skyscraper is about as simple as you can get- it's essentially just a rectangle covered on all sides with windows. The entryway gives a hint at the luxury to be found inside, but really, this building won't draw an undue amount of attention to itself- a fact which should suit your reclusive, wealthy Sims just fine! They don't need to concern themselves with what a Sim passing by on the street thinks of their building- they're much too busy sipping on $1000/bottle nectar and eating imported caviar!
Basically, the point to take away from this bit is that while the building may not have a tremendous amount of visual "POP" from the outside, once you step through the doors of this building, it's an ENTIRELY different story!
Glamour and opulence penetrate every part of this building, and the public areas are no exception. The lobby is filled with priceless paintings and objets-d'arte, and adorned with fresh-cut floral arrangements from the finest gardens SimCity has to offer. Stepping into the double bank of elevators and descending into the basement, your wealthiest Sims will find a hallway filled with the relaxing sounds of falling water, coming from the fountains and aquatic garden along the rear wall. Behind a wall of windows, a private gym awaits the exertions of the fitness-conscious billionaire. Private locker rooms are available for the residents, and even in the gym, a room often ignored when decorating a building, you'll find art well worth your Sims' time. Stone columns from ancient cities support the ceiling, and professionally-lit athletic jerseys signed by the star players from every professional sport in SimNation hang on the wall.
Should your Sims choose to go up a few floors, they'll find a private lounge area, perfect for high-society gatherings, or a meeting place for those Sims important enough to be admitted to the building, but no SO important that you want to admit them to your penthouse just yet!
The penthouses of this building continue the theme of opulence, with each one providing your Sims with such comfortable accommodations that you may never want to send them out into the cold world again! Even the least expensive apartment (located on the 6th and 7th floors) comes in at $3720 per week, taking the open feeling of a reclaimed loft space and giving it an upgrade so that no one could claim it unsuitable for a fashion designer or pop icon! The other apartments below the penthouse evoke feelings of openness and spartan luxury (4th and 5th floors), and urban opulence (8th and 9th floors), suited for celebrity lawyers, film icons, star athletes, or whoever you deem wealthy and influential enough to secure a coveted apartment in The Tower!
All of these other spaces pale in comparison to the Penthouse apartment though... Occupying a full 4 floors, plus a rooftop garden complete with hot tub (closest I could come to the iconic pool with the $100 bill painted on the bottom from "Tower Heist!"), this $10,173 a week urban mansion wants for nothing and provides a level of luxury unmatched by virtually any other building in the city! Sims lucky enough to buy into this property will ride a high-speed elevator (yes, I know they're all the same speed- a little artistic license in my description!) to a private landing on the 10th floor. Walking through the apartment's entryway, they are greeted by a gallery with a standalone stone wall, perfect for displaying your latest modern art acquisition. Who cares if you don't understand the artist's message? You paid lots of money for it- that's reason enough to hang it! The gallery has a pricetag similar to some families' entire estates, but for this apartment, it just serves as the foyer!
Stepping through an archway, your Sims enter into an enormous, two-storey greatroom, tiled with marble inlay and commanding unmatched views of the surrounding skyline. A sweeping double staircase is the centerpiece of the room, taking you up to the second floor of this extravagant abode. On this upper level, you'll find an open kitchen area, complete with double stove and fully-stocked bar, along with a dining area providing your Sims with a place to enjoy their imported freshly-ground espresso every morning, or their perfectly-seared prime rib and lobster thermidor each evening. A marble and gold spiral staircase rises up through the mural that adorns the ceiling of this massive room, providing access to the upper floors, opening next onto a hallway perfect for displaying smaller (but no less expensive) works of art. Off this hall, aside from one of the many bathrooms in the penthouse, you'll find an executive office, perfect for a business tycoon who has grown wealthy enough that they no longer deign to commute to an office each day, as well as access to the master bedroom, a room paneled in mahogany and redwood inlay, and decorated with a smaller mural on the ceiling, much like the greatroom below it. A private walk-in closet and master bath suite are also accessible from this room. One floor up from this, you'll find a modern, minimalist sunroom, with 360-degree views of the downtown cityscape, and an aquarium large enough to house entire schools of fish seated in the center of the room. Continuing up to the very top of the building, you emerge onto a terrace surrounded by palm trees, with a hot tub set into the tiles, allowing your richest Sims a final showpiece to impress all those less fortunate than themselves.
You would be hard-pressed to find a more opulent or luxurious building than The Tower anywhere.
Now to the technical aspects- as per usual, this is much more than you'd normally see on a 2x2 lot, so be aware that lagging is possible, especially on older or slower computers. I've playtested this lot extensively (it's one of my favorite lots to play in my game, actually- I just love how it all came together) so I'll be surprised if you run into any issues, but please let me know if you do, and I'll do my best to address them. You're certainly free to redecorate the apartments as you see fit (as if I could keep you from doing that once you download it anyways! ) but I would recommend looking through the building as I've designed it first, since some of the walls and spaces were designed with specific furnishings in mind- they could look odd if you don't know why I put them there. The one thing I would recommend NOT changing, however, is the placement of the 3x3 aquarium in the highest room of the building- the in-ground hot tub unfortunately erases any floor or ceiling tiles directly underneath it, and the aquarium keeps your Sims from walking through that now-unroofed space and complaining about it raining inside their house.
Aside from those few recommendations, I hope your wealthy Sims find The Tower a suitable place to display their wealth and enjoy all the luxuries a ridiculous amount of money can buy them, and I hope YOU enjoy playing them here!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
Sims? What are Sims? I almost always just use this game to create buildings!
You might call me a CC-atheist. While I'll use every cheat code in the book, I won't use anything that Maxis didn't ship with the game in one fashion or another. Ergo, you can rest assured that all my lots are CC-free.
Some creators describe themselves as constantly juggling projects. I suppose I do that too, except I'm really really bad at juggling, so I just throw lots of projects as high as I can, and sometimes forget all about them until they come crashing down on my head!
I won't *exactly* do requests, but since I pivot from lot to lot constantly, if there's a place you hope to see from me, there's a good chance that I've already started it! I make no promises, but feel free to ask about lots you want to see- you might inspire me to finish something!
My lots are my own work- I put a lot of effort into them, so have fun with them, use them for storytelling or making Sim movies, but please don't reupload them, in whole or in part, anywhere, including here on MTS!
One day I will rule the world with an iron fist and all will kneel before me.
