Monticello was the Virginian plantation home of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States of America. The neoclassical villa was designed by Jefferson himself and has become a defining point in the early architecture of the new nation.
But this is not that. Heavily inspired by, oh yes. Not at all a recreation, but like in many ways.
Monticelloesque, if you will.
As with most of my builds, I'm inspired by something (the patio wings that extend to either side and back), and I start to play around and "see where it goes".
Monticelloesque has three bedrooms in the main building and one in the guest house of the left wing. There are five and a half bathrooms scattered throughout. A dining room, parlor, and office round out the main section, and there is a studio at the end of the right wing. Though I strove for a simpler, more user friendly design, I still retained the kitchen in the basement. The basement also has many empty rooms for players to use as they see fit, and a garage is nestled into the basement of the right wing. Outside there is a pool and a pond on the landscaped lot.
World Adventures and Ambitions were used extensively. Showtime provides the arches on the side porches and wings. Island Paradise was used for the backdoor, garage door, and columns.
CFE was used used throughout. Use caution when modifying, though the basement and ground floor layouts could be adjusted without much hassle.
