Another new variety that you can give to your sim. Now your teen sim can experience prom and do after school activity. Additional plugins for this mod can be downloaded from here

Note : For those who experience wrong text description in this mod custom memory, getting something like "I organized a great party" or even blank description instead of actual memory description, It is because your game region language is not US English. Since my custom memories are clone from game's held party memory, and I only the change US English language and not the other region language, so you have to change the memory description to your own region language. You can follow these steps here but the one that you have to change is "Catalog Description" in the this mod main package instead of "Text List" in the localization plugin. Catalog description contains all description text for custom memories

  • If you experience blank popup, notification, dialog box or message, try these steps here

  • Every plugin is not independent mod package, unless it is said so. You have to install the main package if you want to use a plugin.

This mod is not compatible with base-game-only. The resources I've overriden are taken from Apartment Life, but in the coding also contains functions and constants from Freetime, Nightlife and Bon Voyage

What does this mod do ?
This mod gives you two kind of main events that works as a rabbit hole, happen in background during extended school hours. These events all base on original at school interaction (so, only happened while sims are at school). These main event are :

Known Conflicts :
- inTeen (Reported by Rosebine, the additional version that supposed to be compatible with inteen has been uploaded)
- Carpool & school bus flexibility by gummilutt (Reported by dnrosenrot, conflict with STR# that can caused blank popup/notification)
- Twojeffs' school bus/bring friend & homework hack (Reported by Fearless Butterfly, conflict with STR# that can caused blank popup/notification). You can try to ressolve this conflict this these steps. It is for bring friend from work by MQ, but it is similar with twojeff's bring friend except you do not have to change the BHAV part since school realated dialog string is not updated by EA-Maxis since Seasons.

Technically, this mod will conflict with other mods that override these game resources :


Flavours:
There are 6 flavours uploaded for this mod. Just choose one of your choice. Those flavours are :
  1. 5% chance of detention and 10% chance of after school activity (rar file that contains "_1" in the filename)
  2. 5% chance of detention and 10% chance of after school activity with prom bad memory is disabled (rar file that contains "_2" in the filename)
  3. 5% chance of detention and 15% chance of after school activity (rar file that contains "_3" in the filename)
  4. 5% chance of detention and 15% chance of after school activity with prom bad memory is disabled (rar file that contains "_4" in the filename)
  5. 20% chance of after school activity with detention and prom bad memory are disabled (rar file that contains "_5" in the filename)
  6. Version number 3 for inteen compatible. For you guys who has inteen installed in your game, please download this file, otherwise, my original mod will be overriden by inTeen, thus won't work at all . I only make 1 flavour for inteen based on most downloaded flavour, but you can customize the setting as your desire. The step is in the following. Do not change the package name since it is needed so that my mod will be loaded after inTeen.
Want to set your own flavours other than above ? Do not worry, just open your package using SimPE. Open resources as shown in picture number 6, and change the value, commit and save.

For instances :
  • If you want the chances of of detention only 3% and after school activity 25%, so enter value of "% (+1) get detention" with 2 (from 3-1) and value of "% (- %detention) join club activity" with 27 (from 2+25. 2 is the value of "% (+1) get detention")
  • If you want no chance of slacking off and hanging out 20%, so enter value of "% (+1) get detention" with -1 (from 0-1) and value of "% (- %detention) join club activity" with 19 (from -1+20. -1 is the value of "% (+1) get detention")
  • if you want to have Prom only without after school activity set "% (+1) get detention" with -1 and "% (- %detention) join club activity" with -1
Note : sorry for confusing tutorial. It is coding-related stuff.

- You can also disable Prom or disable prom bad memory with change the value of "enable prom (0 = disable|1 = enable)" or "Enable prom bad memory (0 = disable|1 = enable)"

Install :
  • Just put my mod in Downloads folder of your sims 2 data. If this mod does not work, try to change the load order, like rename my mod to "z_pqw_afterschoolactivity.package".
  • For inTeen user, please make sure this mod and all of its plugin, if any, are loaded after inTeen, by checking if there is "zzzz_" in front of original filename, and adding "zzzz_" if they have not been renamed yet.
