My Pinterest feed has been full of vintage and mid-century house plans lately. I find them so fascinating I just had to take a crack at it and build a few myself. The Banyan is my favourite build out of the few models I tried.



This home is, I think, fairly typical of many mid-century designs, with two terraces, an asymmetrical floor plan, and smaller bedrooms and bathrooms. The basement includes a finished den or family room, and a laundry room with a half bath attached. You can see the original house plan that inspired me below and in the picture feed:

One-Tile Clothes Rack by piezoelectric - This item completely changed the way I plan my houses; this is what makes realistic, functional closets possible in TS3. I use this ALL THE TIME.

Simple Shower Tub by HugeLunatic - another essential item that I use constantly; this is so much more realistic for average, modern houses than the stuff EA makes.
