Hello to all

For this new dwelling, I imagined this little story ... the whole was created in two phases ... an ancient part imagined ... and a recent part ...

The former Harbour Office has long been abandoned. The Merchant Navy, owner of the house, decided to renovate it in order to put it up for sale. An expansion was planned, the house itself being too small for a family.

From the old building was preserved the entrance panels of the Harbour office and the nets recovered and placed on the barricade.

The old offices were transformed on the ground floor. We kept the entrance and office doors, and the stairs:
- a large equipped kitchen, with its small wall of the old reception preserved, and its navigation bar inserted between 2 columns in decoration.
- an equipped children’s room

The new part is at the back of the house and was the object of a more contemporary choice. A large chamber forms an L and has allowed the creation of a dining room as well as a large living room. This box, of modern design is clad with wood siding to cut with the old building. It overlooks an outdoor terrace for sunbathing, and meals with its BBQ corner. Stairs were added at the exit of the old corridor and also leading to the outside terrace.

Upstairs, formerly the attic, were created a bathroom consisting of a bathtub and a toilet as well as a large master bedroom. A large passageway also runs all around the house, and is protected by a canopy.

The whole property is closed by hedges.

To succeed in the suspended box, I had to use the code showhiddenobjects in order to make translucent foundations ... then a basement that I arranged with plants and trees to give the impression of wild herbs ...
