Stop me if you've heard this before: I started with this one idea, but then things just kinda snowballed...
I really should just start most of my conversations by holding up an index card with that printed on it. Would be a huge time saver.

So yeah, the idea was to make a modern, open floor plan starter home with no custom content, decorated in lots of red, white, and black. Of course I start bumping into that §20K and have to scale back what I want to do vs. what a starting sim really needs to have. Time to compromise, right? I decide to do that by by not doing that. Have my cake. Eat my cake. Post two different versions, one a decently furnished starter and one for a more established sim with some familyfunds to burn. And then because why not, family size. Boom, that's Version 3.

I've uploaded them separately, so you can pick and choose or grab them all as you like. All on a 2x2 lot. All checked with Clean Installer. No CC. Made with all EPs/SPs. Lots of pics up top! ^_^




Version 1
This is the starter home. Priced at §19,961, it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it should have everything your new sim needs to start adulting. Basic electronics (wall phone is from TSS, and the burglar alarm is behind the bookshelf), double bed, small table in the bedroom to serve as computer desk. It's no palace, but it's a comfy start! Chess, books, tv and stereo, easel, even a dish and bed for a sim's best friend. Minimal landscaping and a 100% faux driveway.




Version 2
V2 comes in at §37,216. Same floor plan as the starter, just upgraded. There's actual art on (some of) the walls. More and better applliances, a computer in the bedroom, an awesome TV, lots of all around upgrades. There's even a tree in the yard! Fake driveway is still fake, though. My sims always Walk To Lot.





Version 3
Did your sim gain a partner and/or a kid? Modern Red is now family-sized at §72,823. Still red, still with that open downstairs, still trending towards modern, but now with bigger and more. Sleeker, more open kitchen area with increased seating. Downstairs desk with newer computer and a fish tank that can also be shifted to make room for a bird cage or a piano or whatever your paticular sim household might want. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, balcony for alien-bothering, and a yes - can you believe the luxury? - a 100% genuine driveway for the car of your fortune sim's dreams.
