I thought I would just do a cute little house real quick. Almost like a break between big projects.
And then this happened
That is a functional, no cc, virtually zero-clipping, indoor hottub that doesn't look like hot garbage. And it stays pretty with the walls down.
Not much of a break, but I am pleased.
Other parts of the house are nice too, I guess.
It is furnished for two sims and a kitty, but there's essentially nothing in the basement, in case your duet turns into a trio. Or you take up model trains.

The Door~~~
This lot has a diagonal front door, because I thought it looked nice. The game, however does not like diagonal doors, and will treat the back door like the front door if they can reach it. If this bothers you, lock the gates to "household only." Then most sims will manage just fine. The paper-person will leave the newspaper on the sidewalk, and delivery people will mill around out front for a few extra seconds. If you don't go out and accept the food from them, they will reach through your wall and set your pizza in the living room. I think it's charming, honestly.

Size Options ~~~
There are three files in the download section. The interior of the house is 100% the same in each, but since it had the perfect footprint for a 1x1 lot I couldn't resist chopping it down. And then I realized the gazebo would survive a 1x2 chop, and well, here we are
Blue Duet - Tenor 2x2 lot, price: 182,176, The original, with a lovely flower garden, and a pond, and a gazebo, and a mahjong table, and swings, and a vegetable garden too. There is a spot for a driveway, but no driveway has been placed.
Blue Duet - Alto 1x2 lot, price:158,717, It has a pretty little yard. I put the mahjong table and fountain in the gazebo.
Blue Duet - Soprano 1x1, price:132,704, A few flowers, but no yard really. The vegetable garden is tucked in the back, but the porch had to be shrunk for even that.

Just a few notes ~~~
- No custom content included or required
- The lot edges are flat
- Constrainfloorelevation false was used for the foundation and the gazebo roof
- Moveobjects was used and some things aren't snapped to grid, but all the furniture works unless you had your heart set on tinkering with that hottub.
- There's a fire alarm and burglar alarm behind the fridge
- The phone is in the living room
A copy of the lot was play tested, but please message me if you run into any problems

This link is what I used to make Maxis items that normally aren't buyable show up in the catalog for purchase, you don't need the download for them to appear when you load the lot, they are already in the game.
