I decided that if I wanted my board to have chalk writing on it so much that I was willing to learn object editing for this sole purpose that likely someone else out there wants the same thing.
I made this for myself to put in my legacy house kitchen, though it is suitable outside the kitchen as well.

I hope everyone enjoys this simple upgrade.
