A newcomer arrives to the neighbourhood and takes a look to the housing offers.
Some "starter houses" are avaliable and the name seems promising - because he is about to get a fresh start!
But oh!, disappointment!
After spending all his savings the newcomer would find himself living a nice but completely empty house. Where is he gonna get enough money to furnish his home?
But he must consider himself lucky - at least he had those § 20,000 to start with.
Other inhabitants were much poorer when they left their parents house or graduated from college they did not have enough to even afford an empty house without getting a mortgage.
Does this sound familiar?
If you're using certain mods to give some headaches to your Sims (such as MATY's no20khandout or my customizable bills
for houses and
for apartments) they may be having a hard time finding a suitable starter house.
That's why I built for them some small cheap houses: they may find
a fully furnished home for under § 12,000 !!
In this upload I included 4 different houses decorated in the same style.
Three of them are identical from outside and are built on a tiny 1x1 lot. They all have a kitchennette (with a mini-fridge), a bathroom (with shower), bedrooms and basic comodities (seating, dining table, TV, bookshelf, wardrobe, etc.).
- Individual - One bedroom with a single bed
- Twin - Two small bedrooms with a single bed each
- Double - One bedroom with a double bed
There is also a large version of these lots built on a 2x1 lot
suitable for a large family and still below 20,000.
It features 3 bedrooms and a nursery. All the kids rooms have a desk for their homework and the nursery is as large as them so it can be refurnished into a bedroom when the baby grows up.
For your convenience they may be downloaded separately or all at once.
Lot Size: 1x1
Lot Price (furnished): 11362 - 19851
