When you think of a building for fit Sims the first thing that comes to your mind is a gym. So obvious! Oh, well, in fact maybe too obvious...
I tried to work out something a little different and I figured out I could build an evolving gym!

What do I mean by evolving gym?
Simple. There are 4 different versions of the same building, each larger and filled with better quality items as well as nicer decoration. They go from a very simple gym with only the basic features to a luxury one which would provide more than one source of entertaiment to the inhabitants of your neighbourhood.
If you want to have a gym in your hood you may start with the budget one and upgrade to the next stage by removing it and using the next version instead, giving the sensation that it grows as the population and riches grow.

Spagat 1 { Budget Gym }

This is the first of the series hence the simpliest and cheapest one.
Very basic one floor building with an outdoor swimming pool - which can only be accessed from inside.

First thing your Sims will find when they enter is a simple hall with some vending machines and little decoration.
In order to access to the rest of the gym they must go through the changing room (actually two separate bathrooms, for men and women). There are public lockers afterwards.
Once in they may either go to the machines section (where an small selection of them is avaliable) or head outside to enjoy the swimming pool.

Lot Size: 2x2
Lot Price (furnished): §33,245

Run as a business?

Of course your Sims may want to buy this lot and run it as a business. In that case a Electrono-Ticket Machine is in order - and pretty much everything they will need.
After testing I may give you a few hints:
  • Sims think the vending machines are way more interesting than actually going inside and sweat their muffin top out.
Your playables may use the "call over" interaction - and once inside they often find interesting activities such as dancing. So, yeah, you need to catch their interest.
  • Sims actually exercising tire out very soon. And will leave soon.
You may assume this as normal behaviour (most real life people won't stay in the gym for 6 hours in a row anyway) or engage them in less stressing activities such as playing Marco Polo in the swimming pool.
Of course you may also cheat your way with "maxmotives" :D
