These are new garden plants that grow into trees, and seeds packets for them

Requirements
How It Works
Say, you want to plant an apple tree. Buy apple tree seeds from a stand on community lot or from garden club NPC and keep the packet in your inventory. Place a garden plot somewhere on your lot. Fertilize it, if you want, and plant a seed. It will grow like a regular garden plant, going from dirt pile to sprout to a little tree. You have to water it, pull weeds and occasionally spray for bugs. Without care, it may wither and die. Be patient, trees take longer to grow. In about 6-7 sim-days, the plant will turn into a full grown tree. It'll be an actual harvestable orchard tree with all the functions you expect from it.
Technically, the big tree is a separate object, not included here. Here, are growable plants that get replaced with trees when they're done growing.

Contents & Versions
You get 6 new plants. Pick and choose: you can have any or all of them, but not more than one version of a tree type. Each plant come with seeds.
Versions with original textures (light background screenshots):

  • Cherry -- requires Aysarth's Cherry tree
  • Peach -- requires Aysarth's Peach tree
  • Pear -- requires Aysarth's Pear tree

All in one edition:
  • PlantableTrees_All_6 -- all plants and seeds with original textures
Optional Default:
  • HiddenOrchardTrees -- a little OBJD replacement that hides Maxis orchard trees from the catalogue (you may not want it if you like to build pre-made houses with trees)

Notes
  • Seeds cost §120
  • Lemon, orange and peach require bronze gardening badge to plant. Apple, cherry and pear -- don't.
  • Maxis plants and seeds are translated into most languages, Aysarth's plants have English, Russian and Polish strings
  • Perfect Gardens mod by twojeffs won't affect these plants, you have to take care of them. If you don't want to, just buy the full grown trees to begin with. Other gardening mods may work with these plants, though.
  • You may tweak these plants and seeds for your game. For example, edit hours per life stage, required badge to plant, chance of bugs, etc. Look at BCONs in the packages.

  • Catalogue Sort: None
  • All the plants have the same model, some have different textures. Polygons:
    • planted stage: 164 faces, 148 vertices
    • sprouted stage: 188 faces, 188 vertices
    • teen/adult stage: 1410 faces, 1517 vertices
    • seeds: 30 faces, 38 vertices

Troubleshooting
  • My plants are dead for no reason! -- If it's cherry, pear or peach, you probably forgot to download the corresponding trees.

Conflicts
Plants are standalone objects and shouldn't clash with anything.
HiddenOrchardTrees may conflict with other OBJD defaults for orchard trees.

As usual, I have a tutorial for you!
How To Create Your Own Plantable Trees
1. make or download a tree you'd like to be able to plant and grow (I've already done maxis orchard trees), write down its guid
2. if you went for a custom tree by another creator, note that you will NOT need to modify or reupload their files, but those files will be required for your plant to work (the overhaul mod will also be required)
3. if your tree is harvestable (which it doesn't have to be), write down the guid of the tree's produce/fruit object
4. make a garden plant that will eventually turn into that tree
5. make a seeds packet for the plant (tutorial is in Creator's Kit)
