Hello and welcome to Carier!

Once just a collection of barracks for the workers of a nearby quarry, Carier has now transformed into a small community of individuals who made the bold decision to trade the hustle and bustle of big city suburbs for the serene tranquility of a town in the middle of nowhere. However, it appears that the newcomers have also brought along some unnecessary drama, causing slight concern among those who still remember when this place was nothing more than a pile of bricks on the sandy banks of the local river. Despite its peaceful nature, one can't help but wonder if this calm is merely the calm before the storm. Only time can tell...

Here's something I've been working on for quite some time now. A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon an old photo of a town my friends and I built in a pile of sand in my backyard when we were kids and naturally it got me thinking, why not recreate it as a neighborhood in ts2?

As this was my first time creating a custom neighborhood and I was mostly learning stuff along the way, I did mess up a couple of things and so it's my duty to warn you about them:

- I completely forgot to remove all the premade Pleasantview NPCs and bin families beforehand, so they are all still there. I know some people might be put off by this, but if you're like me and don't mind having some NPCs in your town, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, if you're using mods like Notownieregen, they won't be causing too much trouble;

- What can be a problem though is that based on the feedback on my other 'hoods I made after this one, some of the NPC names may appear to be in a different language, contain strange symbols, or be completely random. This is because my game is not in English, so don't be too surprised if you come across a townie with a name you can't read lol. The same issue also applies to the bin families, though as I found out from the feedback, their names absolutely will be in a different language. It's up to you whether you want to change their names individually or simply ignore them;

- Since I wasn't using any custom face presets at that time, the sims might look a bit dull. I'm fine with that, but you are more than welcome to change their looks as much as you want.

If you're still interested, here's some general info about the 'hood:

- There are 15 residential lots, 12 of which are occupied, and three community lots (I also made a couple of extra lots which can be found here and here);

- All the lots has been compressed with LotCompressor;

- Everything should be reachable even without the camera mods;

- Most families were based on the ones my friends and I used to roleplay as.

- This is not a story 'hood. The families in Carier have their own backstories and relationships all set up and personally, I'm happy with just having that much;

- It's not BGC and requiers you to have all the EPs and SPs;

- The uninhabited version is provided in case you need one.

Custom Content:

- The neighborhood is CC free. I use a ton of default replacements, as seen on images, but I checked how everything looks without them and made sure the sims won't look too ugly if you don't have any DR installed.

- If you do want to make them look exactly as shown in the screenshots, my DR archive can be found here;

- Other custom content that is not included/used, but can be seen on the pictures:

The Great Sky of Totalitarianism by Lowedeus;
Skylines by Greatcheesecakepersona, Lowedeus, Withered Lilies and Criquette.
Basic Linden Trees Redux by Criquette;
Terrain Replacements by Curiousb.

- There is a family in Carier whose story revolves around one member's obsession with their car collection. Since the vanilla game doesn't provide a viriety of those, I decided to remove the collection just so you could choose yourself what vehicles they would collect out of the ones you have in your game (personally I used a bunch of vintage cars made by Fresh Price Creations).

Update stuff:

- I did mess around with the Sims' memories just a little bit and added some minor changes here and there;

- I've set the starting time at 5 am on Monday for all the families;

- Changed both versions' folder names to CRIR to make things easier.

Special thanks:

- To TwoJeff for Sim Blender;
- To Mootilda for HoodChecker and Lot Compressor;
- To BO for No Sim Loader;
- To PleasantSims for her lovely turorial that made me realize I've done everything wrong lol.

Have a nice one!
