Chapter 3 – Brandi Express




"Hi there! Welcome to Brandi Express, what would you like today?"
Brandi Broke smiles charmingly at a customer as he gazes at the
dessert freezer.





"We have the classic hamburgers, roasted turkeys, the chef salad
and for dessert we have cheesecakes, baked alaska and
our signature chocolate cake is also really popular."





Business has been great today. Of course, Brandi hasn't
always been so cheery. Her husband and high school sweetheart,
Skip, passed away during a freak pool ladder accident,
leaving her pregnant, with two children and virtually no money.





For a long while, she was mad at her husband for leaving her with
the burden. But with the encouragement of her friends, Brandi has
rediscovered the talent and joy in cooking. She decided to launch
a little to-go restaurant right in her own home and it has proven
to be a great success so far.

And to put the last chapter of her life behind, Brandi plans to save
up money to buy a real restaurant and a new home for her family.





"Brandi!"
"Dina! Hi! This is a pleasant surprise!"





"How are you? It’s been a while."
"I'm doing great. The place is really taking off!
Are you here to support me, pretty face?”





"Haha, sure! I'll have one of your famous layered cakes please,"
Dina answers, “Oh before I forget, are you free tonight? Morty,
Nina, and I are going out. Morty’s made a reservation at Londonst.
And we’d love it if you come.”





Oh, a night out, Brandi has been dying for a night out lately!
But the kids! Is it really safe to leave Beau with Dustin? But again
she could really use the night out, especially to a fancy restaurant
like Londonst. Besides, what could happen for a couple of hours?





"Yeah, of course, I'm closing the shop in a couple of hours. How
about I give you a call then?" Brandi finally comes to conclusion,
"Oh and the cake is free, by the way. Take it as a gift for all
the promotion works you've done for the place."





"Thanks, Brandi. I love your cakes. Oh, and glam up. You've
been working way too hard lately. I'll see you tonight, yeah?"





"Hey, thank you for being a great support, Dina. I’ll give you a call tonight."
