Chapter 7 - Little Love




"Dirk, I'm in front of the gate. Can you let me in?.. Cool. Bye."
Lilith arrives to the front of the newly remodeled Dreamer house.





"Hey babe, what’s up? You wanted to meet me?"

"Yeah, I wanted ask if i could stay over. My parents are fighting again."

"You oka..?" Dirk starts, only to be cut off by his girlfriend.

"I know. I’m just kind of bummed out. It’s Friday night anyways…
I figure I could come stay with you. At least for the night."





"Of course. But my friends are sleeping over tonight too though.
They're upstairs in my room. We’re going on a college road trip
tomorrow. We’re visiting Académie Le Tour and we’re stopping by
Sims State on our way back. It’s gonna be hella fun. Wanna come?"

"Oh? Who are you going with?"

"Marshall and Syd"





"Wait, Syd?" Oh no.

"Yeah. Sydney Evans. You know her."

"Her? Have you been hanging out with her? Dirk!
You know how I feel about Sydney!"

"Lil, calm down. What’s the big deal? She’s my friend, too."





"I can’t believe you’re doing this to me. This is so humiliating.
Do you not know what happened between me and her?"

"Lil... Why is it such a big deal? She’s a nice girl. Why are you freaking out?"

"I can’t believe you’re hanging out with her. Not only that, you’re letting
her spend the night! You have no idea what you've gotten yourself into.
You have no idea what she's capable of! That girl is nothing but trouble."





Dirk, starting to get agitated with his girlfriend's comments, adds,
"You're the one to talk. You know what Lilith? I can’t do this right now.
I’m tired and you're being unreasonable. I have a long day ahead of me
tomorrow. Why don’t you just go home? Or stay with Angela. We’ll talk
about this when I get back on Sunday."





"I can't go home! That's why I came here. To my boyfriend!
I can't believe you're brushing me off like this. You're choosing
your friends over me. I can't believe you’re choosing HER over me!"





It was this time that the headlights of Darren Dreamer’s car shine through
the window. Dirk’s father is home from his gallery. Lilith can barely recollect
herself before Mr. Dreamer enters the house. Her parents are on the verge
of separation and her boyfriend has been hanging out with Sydney Evans.
