Chapter 12 - Sydney Evans
-----Five Years Ago on Account of Presence-----
Sydney Viola Evans was born and raised in a place called Bluewater
Village just outside of an urban city not too far from Pleasantview.
Until the age of eleven years, two months, and four days, her life in
the city has been one of many less-fortunate girl’s dreams.
Young Sydney's perfect life came to a sudden stop on a sunny afternoon
which strangely contrasted with the gloomy mood of the Evans household.
Young Sydney was instructed by her mother to play with her brand new
dollhouse stationed at the corner of her living room while her mother
pranced restlessly in the kitchen when she heard the familiar sound
of a car pulls into the driveway.
Mr. Evans had arrived home earlier than usual. Young Sydney routinely got
up to give him a welcoming hug but Mr. Evans was already on his way into
the master bedroom with Sydney’s mother following close behind.
Young Sydney, confused and scared, peaked out at the front door which
was left opened by the man early that day to which she found Mr. Evans'
ignited car and a silhouette figure of a brunette woman in its passenger seat.
For a split second Sydney was able to make eye-contact with the woman
but quickly turned her sight away at the sound of her mother’s voice.
“We can work it out, honey. Don’t leave! Please! Think about Sydney! Think about us!”
This was to be the first and last time Sydney remembered hearing her mother cry.
The young girl froze as the master bedroom's door was pushed open by
none other than Mr. Evans with two suitcases in hands.
He stopped at the sight of young Sydney, kissed her on her frozen forehead,
walked to his car where the brunette woman was waiting for him, and
drove out of the Evens estate and out of young Sydney's life forever.
