HGTV Dream Home 2007!

For a couple of years now I have attempted to build the HGTV “Dream House” in the Sims 2. This year, I am finally happy with the results! So I present: the 2007 Dream Home! In real life it is a ski lodge in Winter Park, Colorado. It has a log-cabin feel with exposed rafters and wooden beams.

Cost: ~150,000.
Unfurnished* (see note below)

The Basement level has the garage, screening room, wet-bar, “bunk room” (in real life it has 2 sets of bunk beds; I did mine with two single beds, astro-style!), bathroom, laundry room, and a little place for pets’ stuff. Main floor has the grand main entrance, a front porch, the “lodge” room (these are really some creative names they came up with), the large kitchen, dining room, office, half-bath, master bedroom, and master bath. The Upper level has a balcony which overlooks the lodge room, has a sitting area, observation deck (from which to observe the mountains), and two bedrooms, each with their own baths. From the bathrooms you can escape down the back stairs to the patio below.

*It is shown furnished in the pictures, but I deleted most of the furnishings because I hate trying to dig up who created stuff and where you can find it. And because I’m sure your interior decoration skills are better than mine. (and to make the house cheaper.) I’ve left in the bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances, counters, and cabinets. Which means there is still some custom content…

COMPATABILITY:
I just got Pets; I have all the other EPs, as well as glamour life. I imagine the lot would work properly if you have through Nightlife (for the garage). The stone paint on the basement level is new in Pets, so if you load the lot and you don’t have Pets, that won’t show up. I also included a Dog house in the front yard because real-life house comes with a “Doggie Dream Home” too. (it also comes with an SUV; I didn’t include that.) Everything else should work, but let me know if I’m wrong on that!
