There is a story behind this object.

Way back in '95 I was taking a ceramics course, and one of our assignments was to replicate a piece of historical ceramics [ or maybe it was ancient stuff then too ]. At the same time I was also taking Japanese, so of course it was something I thought about alot, especially since half or more of the class involved culture. I wrote more papers for that class than for my lit class :D

Anyway, after searching and searching, I found a charming little picture of a clay monkey. So, I copied it in clay, and still have the result, in fact she's staring at me as I type.

She might look rough and a little lumpy, but then, so did the original. But there is just this expression of peace [ and kindly mischief ] that looking at her warms my heart - and she fits into my hands so well.

Now - I didn't keep the picture I'd worked from, so, after muchness of searching, I finally found a similar piece - it faces a different direction, and has a broken base. But, it does give a basis for comparison.

Faces - 286 + 2 for shadow
Vertices - 233 + 4 for shadow

I hope your sims enjoy this endearing little statuette as much as I do.
