(June 15, 2009) - I'd like to solicit some help! Is anyone really skilled at making clothing? I'd like to get some custom uniforms made for a new career I'm making. PM me if you can help!

Hello again! It's been a while since my last upload due to a series of unfortunate events (i.e. my laptop's hard drive failing). Luckily I was able to get all my files back up!

Anyways, I just got the Sims 3 and I was positive that once I played I'd forget about old Sims 2. However, I must say I'm not a big fan...so since I won't be playing the Sims 3 that much, I decided to go dig up some old projects I had started.

So I present to you my latest career set for your lovely elders and teens!

The first one is a Banking career path for the elders. This career is NOT uni-age, well technically it is, but your teens will find a hard time trying to get back and fourth to work because I made the hours a little more "adult". And besides, how many teens out there have ever been a Notary? I made the pay pretty reasonable so that your elders could live off of it. The job requirements are pretty high, but I assumed that over the course of your elder sim's life, he/she would have picked up at least half of the required skills.

Receptionist
Hours: 9:00 – 14:00
Days: M W Thur Sat
Wage: $180
Retirement isn’t always as great as it seems. You count down the years until you’re able to retire, but when you finally do retire you get bored! Why not make a few bucks answering phones? Sure you’ll have to make the occasional fax, and maybe pick up lunch every now and again. It’s better than sitting at home all day watching infomercials and soap operas.

Notary
Hours: 10:00 – 15:00
Days: T W F
Wage: $300
Sign and stamp will be your new motto, because that’s literally all you do. The notary is nothing but a high paid witness. Whether it is a title transfer or a house closing, you’ll be there to ratify it all.

Underwriter
Hours: 11:00 – 15:00
Days: M W F
Wage: $540
An underwriter, also known as a loans negotiator, is in charge of…well…giving out loans. You review loan applications and decide whether or not the applicant is a good candidate. A good bank is often judged by the quality of their borrowers. So…choose wisely! (No pressure.)

The next set is a Teller career path for both your Teen and Elder sims. This one was a lot of fun to create because I modeled it off of personal experience (why yes, I've had more jobs in my short 18 years of life than most adults have had in their lifetime :D). The pay, like my other careers, is low but I don't like my teen sims raking in more cash than the adults. And besides, it's just part-time hours anyways.

(I know in the picture it says Cashier but that error has been corrected)

Trainee Teller
Hours: 15:00 – 18:00
Days: T W T F
Wage: $40
On you first day of work your boss hands you a huge manual and says “read this”. By the third day you’re thrown on the teller line. So it may take you ten minutes for one transaction…so what, you’re learning, right? Memorize your policies and learn what not to do with a check, and soon you’ll land your own teller drawer!

Probationary Teller
Hours: 15:00 – 19:00
Days: T T F Sat
Wage: $70
So you finally got the keys to your very own teller drawer (and a neat little springy key chain to put them on)! Even though you’re not in training, the higher-ups will be watching you like hawk. When handling money, especially large sums of money, you’ve got to be on your p’s and q’s. One wrong keystroke and you could potentially wipe out someone’s account. But don’t worry, there’s always a handy-dandy reversal button (your saving grace!). If you can keep the mistakes at a minimum and learn how to handle impatient members, you’ll make it through your probationary period for sure.

Part-Time Teller
Hours: 15:00 – 19:00
Days: M Thur F Sat
Wage: $90
Congratulations, you’re off probation! Now you’re officially in. No more supervisors looking over your shoulders, no more hourly cash counts to look for outages. And, best of all, you’ve got your own spiffy name tag! Rejoice, because not many people even make it past trainee!

Each career has it's own GUID and shouldn't overwrite anything. There are chance cards for every level (those were fun to create!) and each has it's own custom icon. I have no skill in skinning so maxis-uniforms are used.

I tried my best to spell-check and grammar-check, but if I made a mistake let me know. I tested this career extensively, but if I missed something..once again let me know.

I'm hoping once people get the Sims 3 all figured out, I'll be able to start career making for that. Until then, I'll stick to the Sims 2.
