I know I said the Odd Jobs career was my last one but when you're stuck in a hotel all day with all the coffee, ice, and petit-fors you can eat...you tend to get hyped up! So, I burned the midnight oil and churned up this little number.

This time I made a Grocery Store career path for the teens and elders. It's really surprising that no one on MTS(I?) has ever made one before. In fact no one seems to care about the teens...but Iiiii do!

Anyways as usual there are two different versions. The "teen version" and the "elder version". The teen version is more focused on the actual labor side of working at a grocery store whereas the elder version is focused on the clerical side. The teen version can be used by elders if you want. However, teens will find it most difficult to do the elder version because I made the hours more "adult" (i.e. 9:00-5:00 sort of hours).

Grocery Store – Teen

Stock Boy/Girl
Hours: 17:00 – 22:00
Wage: $55
Days: M T Thur F
The stockers are like the house keeping staff of a hotel, you're supposed to swoop in when no ones around and tidy things up a bit. You've got to make sure the boxes of Wheaty-Os are arranged just so, and that all the soup can labels are all facing the same way. It's not just about stacking boxes of soda cans in neat little pyramids. Oh no, appealing to customers takes much more than that, it's practically a science!

Bag Boy/Girl
Hours: 16:00 – 21:00
Wage: $90
Days: M W Thur F Sat
Okay so you're not quite done with stacking yet, but being a bag boy sure beats the heck out of hauling heavy boxes from the storeroom. To keep this job you've got to be spry because bags of frozen peas and medicated foot ointment will be flying at you from left and right! If you can keep up with the fast pace of the cashier, then it'll be you manning the register in no time!

Cashier
Hours: 15:00 – 21:00
Wage: $125
Days: T W Thur Sun
Finally you've made it to cashier! No more frantic bag stuffing, no more having to wheel heavy carts out to the customer's car. As cashier 'swipe and slide' will be your new mantra. Oh yes, now it is you who gets to hurl frozen goods at the poor over worked bag boy! The hardest part of your day will be dealing with those psycho customers who seem to be on a mission to ruin your day. But, no matter, just remember to keep a smile on your face. Kill 'em with kindness...and maybe crack an egg or two...they deserved it right?

Grocery Store – Elder
Greeter
Hours: 11:00 – 15:00
Wage: $95
Days: M T Thur Sun
So you want to crawl out of retirement, yet you don't want to work hard? Well have we got the job for you! Being a store greeter is as easy as well...saying "hello". There's nothing to it, you just sit down and greet the customers as they come in. The most trying part of your job will be scanning and stickering a return item, and marking receipts with a yellow highlighter.

Customer Service Attendant
Hours: 10:00 – 16:00
Wage: $170
Days: M W Thur Sat
Your warm smile and friendly composure has landed you a promotion to Customer Service Attendant. At customer service you get to sit in the special booth in front of the store where the high risk items are sold. Not only are you in charge of selling the expensive liquors and cigarettes, but you also cash pay checks and print out money orders. It may seem like a lot of work now, but if you follow the procedure you'll have your station working like clockwork.

Supervisor
Hours: 11:00 – 19:00
Wage: $245
Days: M T W Thur F
Being supervisor is like being a high-paid babysitter. You have to deal with the nasty attitudes of the younger employees and play mediator between catty coworkers. Most of the day you'll be answering phones and counting register tills, maybe settle the occasional dispute between customers and employees. It's not an easy job, but hey, you get a walkie-talkie and a clipboard (who doesn't love clipboards?).

The elder career takes a lot of skills to advance up. I did that assuming that your elder actually had a "life" (i.e. grew up from adult to elder) and would have acquired a good majority of those skills from previous jobs.

The pay is on the low side, just like all of my careers. But, I personally like my sims to actually have a reason to work, you know? However, if you're using a game mod that makes bills a lot higher then this career might not be suitable to have an elder (or teen for that matter) live off of it. I'm thinking about making a secondary elder career with higher wages for those of you who might have higher/more frequent bills mods installed, so give me some feedback and tell me if you think I should.

Each career has it's own GUID...yadda yadda yadda...custom icon, chance cards, etc. Now, someone asked me about a custom LTW for elders. I have NO IDEA how to do that, but if you could show me how I'd be glad to add one.

I tested, spell checked, and grammar checked...but there's always room for error so let me know if I missed something.

And as I stated in previous posts: if you are good at making clothes PM me because I may need to enlist your help for a future project!
