What place would Gollum choose for his home if a cave was not an option?

It most likely would have to be a place deep down in the earth, cavern-like dark and hidden, concealed by trees, bushes and rocks, far far away from other sims' houses but also as close as possible to a lake or little pond where he could go fishing. Right?

As you can see on the picture...

... there's not much to see. Just a perfect home for Gollum!

The house has two levels. The entrance to Gollum's Den is at the lowered ground floor where the kitchen is located. Downstairs is the bedroom to the left and the bathroom to the right side. The livingroom with a fireplace is straight across the stairs.

Unlike hobbit homes this house has not many flowers and other "growing things" around the house. There's also no river or lake at the lot itself, however, you may place the parcel next to the waterfalls which is its original location in Sunset Valley - so Gollum could go fishing whenever he wanted to.

Even though the house is deep down in the earth it is absolutely playable. My Gollum/Smeagol sim lived in this house a few days for testing purposes - you shouldn't have problems with the camera controlls so that you can enjoy playing with this house. Of course, at the lower level it's more difficult than at the ground level.

Unless I'm very much mistaken the lot size is in fact 36x47 and not 4x5 as stated below, however, I had to choose this size since 3,6x4,7 was not given as an option at the MTS upload page. Sorry about that.

The price for the unfurnished lot is 33,650 $imoleons.

Enjoy the game!
