I am excited to present to you my first sims 4 lot (and my first lot upload since 2011! )

LOT DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the Carlyle house. The classic style and careful symmetry of this period style house will bring charm and class to any sim neighborhood. This large manor features spacious living and entertaining areas on the main floor, and 3 large bedrooms plus a nursery on the second floor. The house has even been updated to include indoor plumbing! What luxury.

Any well off family of this era knows that staff is essential to running a tasteful household, so the attic features a maid's room alongside the storage space, and an expansive kitchen is tucked out of the way in the basement. A side entry and servants staircase ensures that the family and esteemed guests are never disturbed. The basement also features a large wine cellar and a butler's room.

The exterior of the house is kept in pristine condition, featuring finely manicured lawns, formal flower gardens in the back, a shady orchard, and a full service kitchen garden to supply the culinary needs of a large family and their guests.


CREATOR NOTES

I really had fun creating this house, and I hope you have just as much fun playing it. Just a few things to mention before I get into the boring... er, important, details
  • This house is based on a real house, also called the Carlyle House (shocker, I know). If you are interested in checking out my inspiration, take a look HERE.
  • The taxes(bills) are truly ridiculous on this lot, so... rich sims only
  • The kitchen garden and orchards will likely need a full time gardener to keep up. My test sim was going non-stop all day just to keep up.
  • The basement room seems ideal for a real sims butler, but I don't have the required expansion, so hopefully it works great for those of you that do. love some feedback on that if anyone feels inclined.
