Tailgating Lot (Two Versions) - No CC!

For many, Fall is a time to cheer on the home team and to watch sports from either a comfy home couch or an uncomfortable stadium seat. Some fans that really want to be immersed in the spirit of their team and the camaraderie of cheering them on, so they may do a little or a lot of tailgating! There are TWO versions of this lot - basic and fenced, so please be sure and grab the file you want! The fence and bushes are easy enough to remove if you do snag the wrong one.


The internet describes tailgating as: A tailgate party is a social event held on and around the open tailgate of a vehicle. Tailgating, which originated in the United States, often involves consuming alcoholic beverages and grilling food. Tailgate parties occur in the parking lots at stadiums and arenas, before and occasionally after games and concerts. People attending such a party are said to be 'tailgating'. Many people participate even if their vehicles do not have tailgates. Tailgate parties also involve people bringing their own alcoholic beverages, barbecues, food etc. which is sampled and shared among fans attending the tailgate. Tailgates are intended to be non-commercial events, so selling items to the fans is frowned upon. Tailgate parties have spread to the pre-game festivities at sporting events besides football, such as basketball, hockey, soccer, and baseball, and also occur at non-sporting events such as weddings, barbecues, and concerts.

To use it in a sentence:"Lot 16E is reserved for alumni who wish to tailgate before the game" < This is the idea I was aiming for, and the inspiration behind this lot for the Seasons and Celebrations theme. What else could tailgating be than a celebration of team spirit!

This lot features:

• Burglar alarm and smoke detector - no phone! (If your Sims will live here, cell phones are recommended.)
• 2 grills
• Lots of cars
• Ample seating, some under a canopy
• Bathroom
• Fruit juice barrel/keg
• Fun items - Chess table, radio, and party favors
• "Merchandise stand" - this is generally frowned upon on real tailgating lots, but for my version/vision I included it to give Sims more to do.

Since this has to be a residential lot for the cars to show up, it is not fully livable as is. You would definitely need a refrigerator or a picnic basket from ZenaDewDrop @ GoS , a shower (or sponge bath mod) and learning items to make this more habitable for the residents. If you wish to turn it into a commercial lot, the cars will disappear! You can, however, download car statues to simulate a full parking lot. This lot would probably be best for those who want to do storytelling, but you can run it as a home business if you wanted to with some tweaking. Alternatively, it would make a good companion lot for any football or sports lots you have placed in your neighborhood!
