Basically pet owners have to boost just dogs' social.
Cats could however ruin furniture with no scratching posts on this lot.

There are various CC mods used and shown up in screens but not mandatory to install:
I have used only object fixes for in-game items and global lighting mods. They are not included with package and not necessary for install since these are not affect the gameplay. But you may need them to reach same appearance of this lot in your game. Here is the list:

Perhaps I used even more items then mentioned. There are even more suitable mods in recommended but I am done already to write this list *cracking fingers*

General tips to place and use the lot:

Install using default Sims 2 Pack Installer or S2PCI
Download all unattached CC and place it into your C:\...\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2...\Downloads\
Place instead of the Pond lot in Oaken Valley or anywhere else in another neighborhood.
Regardless this lot has particular meaning, it can be visited by both cats and dogs once you got certain mod for that. But I think, you should keep in mind that Leefish Pond does not include any scratching posts and litter boxes for cats, which makes it a bit more suitable for dogs. Unfortunately, in difference with the Sims 3 lots these won't attract more strays and would function very similar to museums.
I do not use Pond and Sea Water Overhaul any more. But this lot still has one pool tile required for water shaders to work.
Was tested as residential lot and as copy of community lot.

Known bugs, issues and tips:

I have Sims 2 UC but I noticed that this lot tend to have objects from certain packs. I guess this one has just objects from Pets and Bon Voyage. And Nightlife is required for invisible booth seats.
It might be complicated to edit this lot due to those fact it has invisible squirrel spawning points on it. Here is the hint if you ever decide it: each squirrel spawning point is nearby the hanging feeder house (those that are birdfeeders but actually might take squirrels too). All other items are unhidden and have kind of sense in their placement (like all squirrels are near feeders, dog toy sticks are under the trees etc.) But I won't tell you everything not to spoil the fun of your own investigation.
Each of spawning critters by Sun&Moon has been cloned from roaches. So any forced encounter with sim would leave Roaches! memory and will make sims cry. All mods that affect roaches will affect those critters as well.
Fish may spawn on the ground corner of this lot after you place it and then visit with sims. This might looking creepy but is one-time bug and next time everything will be all right.
